IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed. These instructions should be saved for future
reference:
Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before
using this Snack Maker.
Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually check that it is
intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds
with that of the local network before connecting the appliance to
the mains power supply.
Do not use this product with a programmer, timer, separate
remote-control system or any other such device.
Do not immerse this appliance in water or any other liquids.
Cooking appliances should be positioned in a stable situation with
the handles (if any) positioned to avoid spillage of liquids.
DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Accessible surfaces are liable to get
hot during use. Always use the handle.
Oven gloves should be used whilst using the Snack maker.
Close supervision is required when using this appliance near
children.
Never leave this appliance within reach of children.
This appliance shall not be used by children from 0 to 8 years.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.

The Non-Stick Cooking Plates
Before the first time you use your Snack Maker
Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep them in a safe place for
future reference.
Remove all packing materials including in between the plates inside the unit (if fitted)
and dispose of responsibly.
Before using the Snack Maker for the first time, wipe all the plates using a soft, clean
damp cloth.
To avoid damaging the non-stick coating use a non-metallic kitchen tool made
of wood, silicone, etc. to remove the food from the cooking plates.
Instructions for use
Ensure the Snack maker is not connected to the mains.
Place the Snack Maker on a solid, level, non - flammable surface.
Lift the Latch (4) and raise the Upper Housing (1) until fully upright.
Select which type of Non-Stick Cooking plate you require: Waffle, Sandwich or Grill
plate.
Place the desired plates onto the Snack maker and gently push the plate down onto
the Lower Housing (5) until a click is heard to confirm the plate is locked in place.
Repeat the same process with the Upper Housing (1) and Plate.
Preheat the plates on the Snack maker by plugging it into the mains socket. The red
Power Indicator (2) and the Ready Indicator (3) lights will both illuminate to show
power is connected and the plates are heating. Lower the upper housing (1) during
the heating process.
Cooking (Times may vary)
Using the Waffle Cooking Plate
Add a Teaspoon of oil to the surface of the non-stick Waffle Plate and place your
desired mix onto the plate. Lower the Upper Housing (1) and latch it closed using
the Latch (4) whilst the waffle cooks.
After 4-5 minutes the waffle should have cooked, though it is recommended to
check the waffle during cooking.
Waffle Plates Sandwich Plates Grill Plates

Using the Sandwich Cooking Plate
Place the bread onto the hotplate and add filling, then place second slice of bread
over the filling. Lower the Upper Housing (1) and latch it closed using the Latch (4)
whilst the sandwich cooks.
After 4-5 minutes the sandwich should have cooked, though it is recommended to
check the sandwich during cooking.
NB: It is recommended that the bread be buttered on the outside to prevent it
sticking to the plates.
Using the Grill Cooking Plate
Add a Teaspoon of oil to the surface of the non-stick Grill Plate and place the Food
to be grilled onto the grill plate. Lower the Upper Housing (1) and latch it closed
using the Latch (4) whilst the food is being grilled.
After 4-5 minutes the food should be grilled, though it is recommended to check
the food during the grilling process.
NB during cooking, the green ready to cook light will cycle on and off to show
that the temperature is being maintained at the correct cooking temperature.
This is quite normal.
Removing the Cooking Plates
To remove the cooking plates from the snack maker after use, first allow the
unit to cool completely. Press the Plate Release Buttons (6) and the plates can
be lifted free.
Cleaning your Snack maker
Always unplug the snack maker from the mains power supply before cleaning.
Allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
Do not clean any part of your snack maker in a dishwasher.
Do not submerge any part of the main body or mains cable in water or any other
liquids.
Wipe excess oil/grease from the plates, with kitchen roll or similar.
Wipe clean the outside of the main body and the plates with a soft damp cloth.
Never clean any part of the snack maker with harsh or abrasive cleaners.

Electrical Connections
This appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS 1363. If the plug has
to be removed, it should be cut off and carefully disposed of immediately. To
avoid a possible shock hazard, do not insert the discarded plug into a mains
socket.

Fitting a new plug
The mains lead must be connected as shown below. The wires are coloured
with the following code - Brown wire = Live (L), Blue wire = Neutral (N), Green
& Yellow = Earth (E).
The Blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured Black.
The Brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured Red.
The Green & Yellow wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured
Green.
Check that there are no cut or stray strands of wire inside the plug.
Use a 5 Amp BS 1362 fuse, only use BSI or ASTA approved fuses.
If you are in any way unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified
electrician.
After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug, the cover must be refitted to
the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover.
