2. SAFETY
9 Always perform a risk assessment before using this product. Other PPE such as safety glasses may be required for the task at hand.
9 This information does not reect the actual duration of protection in the workplace and the di󰀨erentiation between mixtures and
pure chemicals.
9 The chemical resistance has been assessed under laboratory conditions from samples taken from the palm only (except in cases
where the glove is equal to or over 400 mm - where the cu󰀨 is tested also), and relates only to the chemical tested. It can be di󰀨erent if
the chemical is used in a mixture.
9 It is recommended to check that the gloves are suitable for the intended use because the conditions at the workplace may di󰀨er from
the type test depending on temperature, abrasion and degradation.
9 When used, protective gloves may provide less resistance to the dangerous chemical due to changes in physical properties.
Movements, snagging, rubbing, degradation caused by the chemical contact etc. may reduce the actual use time signicantly. For
corrosive chemicals, degradation can be the most important factor to consider in selection of chemical resistant gloves.
9 Before usage, inspect the gloves for any defect or imperfections.
9 The gloves are o󰀨ering protection against micro-organisms and comply to the test requirements.
9 The penetration resistance has been assessed under laboratory conditions and related only to the test specimen.
9 Ensure the gloves t the hands comfortably without slipping or splitting. The gloves should t snugly around the wrist.
9 After use, wearers should visually inspect the glove and remove any contamination from the outer surface before removing the glove
from the hand. Alternatively, carefully peel the glove o󰀨 the hand so that contaminated glove outer does not touch the skin.
