All the electronic operaon should be strictly compliance with the electrical safety regulaons,
re prevenon regulaons and other related regulaons in your local region.

Please use the power adapter, which is provided by normal company. The power consumpon
cannot be less than the required value.

Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause over-heat
or
re hazard.

Please make sure that the power has been disconnected before you wire, install or dismantle the
device.

When the product is installed on wall or ceiling, the device shall be

1.1 Overview
Access control terminal is a kind of access control terminal for authencaon. It supports two-way
audio, remote live view, picture capture, video recording through NVR, and so on.

Chapter 2 Installaon
2.1 Installaon Environment
●
Install the device at least 2 meters away from the light, and at least 3 meters away from the
window or the door.
●
Make sure the environment
illuminaon is more than 100 Lux.
Note
For details about installaon environment, see Tips for Installaon Environment.
2.2 Install without Gang Box
Steps
Note
The addional force shall be equal to three mes the weight of the equipment. The equipment ad
its associated mounng means shall remain secure during the installaon. Aer the installaon,
the equipment, including any associated mounng plate, shall not be damaged.

Secure the mounng plate on the wall with 4 supplied screws (SC-KA4X25-SUS).

Route the cable through the cable hole of the mounng plate, and connect to corresponding
external devices' cables.

Apply Silicone sealant among the joints between the device rear panel and the wall (except the
lower side) to keep the raindrop from entering.

Align the device with the mounng plate, and secure the device on the mounng plate with 1

You should acvate the device before the rst login. Aer powering on the device, the system will
switch to Device
Acvaon page.
Acvaon via the device, SADP tool and the client soware are supported.
The default values of the device are as follows:

The device and the PC that runs the SADP tool should be within the same subnet.
The following steps show how to
acvate a device and modify its IP address. For batch acvaon

Chapter 5 Identy Authencaon
Aer network conguraon, system parameters conguraon and user conguraon, you can go
back to the
inial page for identy authencaon. The system will authencate person according
to the congured authencaon mode.
5.1 Authencate via Single Credenal
Set the user authencaon type before authencaon. For details, see Set Authencaon
Parameters .
Authencate ngerprint, card, PIN, or QR code.
Fingerprint
Place the enrolled
ngerprint on the ngerprint module and start authencaon via ngerprint.
Card
Present the card on the card presenng area and start authencaon via card.

The card can be normal IC card, or encrypted card.
QR Code
Put the QR code in front of the device camera to
authencate via QR code.

Authencaon via QR code should be supported by the device.
PIN
Enter the PIN to

Chapter 6 Call and Video Intercom
Set the SIP server IP, calling and video intercom between devices are available.
Set Device A as SIP server, and set Device A's IP as SIP server IP. For details, see
Session Sengs .
All other devices that need to call each other should be registered to the server.
Set device room number. For details, see Set Video Intercom Parameters .
On the device main page, enter the device room No. to call. When the other device is answered,
video intercom can be performed.

7.1 Set Security Queson
If you forget the device acvaon password, you can change the password via security quesons.
Set the security quesons before conguraon.
Click in the top right of the web page to enter the Change Password page. You can click Skip to
skip the step. Or select three quesons to answer and click Next.
7.2 Select Language
You can select a language for the device system.
Click in the top right of the web page to enter the Device Language Sengs page. You can
select a language for the device system from the drop-down list.
By default, the system language is English.

Aer you change the system language, the device will reboot automacally.
Click Next to complete the sengs.
7.3 Time

device, receive alarm nocaon and so on.

Check Enable to enable the funcon.

Oponal: Check the checkbox of Custom, and you can set the server address by yourself.

6 to 12 leers (a to z, A to Z) or numbers (0 to 9), case sensive. You are recommended to use

Open Door via Bluetooth
Aer enabling this funcon, you can open doors via HikCentral Connect or HikCentral Access
Control.

You should add devices to the HCC or HCAC before opening door via bluetooth. Via HCAC, you
can also realize the auto door open funcon. for details, see the HCAC's user manual.
Set Port Parameters
Set the HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP Listening, RTSP and Server port parameters.

Conguraon → Network → Network Service → HTTP(S) .

It refers to the port through which the browser accesses the device. For example, when the
HTTP Port is
modied to 81, you need to enter hp://192.0.0.65:81 in the browser for login.
HTTPS
Set the HTTPS for accessing the browser. Cercate is required when accessing.
HTTP Listening
The device can send alarm informaon to the event alarm IP address or domain name via HTTP
protocol/HTTPS protocol. Edit the event alarm IP address or domain name, URL, port, and
protocol.

RTSP
It refers to the port of
real-me streaming protocol.

It refers to the port through which the client adds the device.
Congure
SIP Parameters
Set the device's IP address and the SIP server's IP address. Aer seng the parameters, you can
communicate among the access control device, door staon, indoor staon, main staon, and the
plaorm.
Note
Only the access control device and other devices or systems (such as door staon, indoor staon,
main staon, plaorm) are in the same IP segment, the two-way audio can be performed.
Go to Conguraon → Network → VoIP .
Check Enable VOIP Gateway.
Set register user name,
registraon password, server address, expiry me, number, and display
user name.
Click Save.
8.6.10 Set Audio Parameters
Set the audio parameters.
Set the input volume, output volume and enable voice prompt according to your actual needs.

Set the video frame rate when performing live view remotely.
Aer changing the standard,
you should reboot the device to take eect.
PAL
25 frames per second. Suitable for mainland China, Hong Kong (China), the Middle East
countries, Europe countries, etc.
NTSC
30 frames per second. Suitable for the USA, Canada, Japan, Taiwan (China), Korea, the
Philippines, etc.
Image Adjustment
Drag the block or enter the value to adjust the live video's brightness, contrast,
saturaon,
and sharpness.
Supplement Light Parameters
Set the supplement light type, mode, start me and end me. You can also set the
brightness.
Capture Interval
You can select the capture interval according to your actual needs.

Click Default to restore the parameters to the default
sengs.
8.6.12
Moon Detecon
Moon detecon detects the moving objects in the congured security area, and a series of
acons can be taken when the alarm is triggered.
Steps
1.
Click Conguraon → Event → Event Detecon → Moon to enter the sengs page.

Enable Moon.

and drag to draw a moon detecon area.
Clear Area
Click to clear all of the areas.
4.
Move the slider to set the sensivity of the detecon.

Linked Door
Enable Linked Door, check Door 1 or Door 2, and set the door status for the target event.
Linked Alarm Output
Enable Linked Alarm Output, check Alarm Output 1 or Alarm Output 2, and set the alarm
output status for the target event.
Capture Linkage
Enable Capture Linkage and select the card reader to capture for the target event.
Trigger Recording
Enable Trigger Recording. Click
Conguraon → Event → Basic Event → Recording → , you
can enable Record Audio When Recording, and set Pre-record and Post-record me.
Note
Equip the device with an SD card to use video recording funcon. To view the recorded videos,
see Search Event .

When you entering the password on the card reader, if the interval between pressing two digits
is longer than the set value, the digits you pressed before will be cleared automacally.
OK LED Polarity/Error LED Polarity
Set OK LED Polarity/Error LED Polarity of the access control device according to the card reader
parameters. Generally, adopts the default sengs.
Enable Tampering Detecon
Enable the an-tamper detecon for the card reader.
Enable Card No. Reversing
The card No. will be in reverse sequence aer enabling the funcon.
QR Code
Enable the funcon and the user can use QR code to open the door.

Disable the IR light if enabling the QR code funcon. For details, see Set Image Parameters .
The picture in low illuminaon environment may be aected due to disabling the IR light.

Set QR code funcon via HCC or HCEC, you should select compable to 1.0 or 2.0. 2.0 is

The door contact can be enabled with appropriate delay aer person with extended access
needs swipes her/his card.
Door Remain Open Duraon with First Person
Set the door open duraon when rst person is in. Aer the rst person is authorized, it allows
mulple persons access the door or other authencaon acons.
Duress Code
The door can open by
inpung the duress code when there is duress. At the same me, the
client can report the duress event.
Super Password
The specic person can open the door by inpung the super password.
Note
The duress code and the super code should be dierent.
Set Terminal Parameters
You can set terminal parameters for accessing.
Click
Conguraon → Access Control → Terminal Parameters .
You can set Working Mode as Access Control Mode. The access control mode is the device normal
mode. You should
authencate your credenal for accessing.
Click Save to save the sengs aer the conguraon.
Set RS-485 Parameters
You can set the RS-485 parameters including the peripheral, address, baud rate, etc.
Click Conguraon → Access Control → RS-485 .
Check Enable, and set the parameters.
Peripheral Type
Select a peripheral from the drop-down list according the actual
situaon. You can select from
Card Reader, Extension Module, or Access Controller.
Note
Aer the peripheral is changed and saved, the device will reboot automacally.
RS-485 Address
Set the RS-485 Address according to your actual needs.

If you select Access Controller: If connect the device to a terminal via the RS-485 interface, set
the RS-485 address as 2. If you connect the device to a controller, set the RS-485 address
according to the door No.
Baud Rate
The baud rate when the devices are communicang via the RS-485 protocol.
Output Type
If you select Access Controller as the peripheral type, you should set the parameter. The device
will output the card No. or the employee ID to the access controller.
Click Save to save the
sengs.
Set Wiegand Parameters
You can set the Wiegand transmission direcon.
Steps
Note
Some device models do not support this funcon. Refer to the actual products when conguraon.
1.
Click Conguraon → Access Control → Wiegand Sengs .
2.
Check Wiegand to enable the Wiegand funcon.
3.
Set a transmission direcon.
Output
The can connect an external access controller. And the two devices will transmit the card No.
via Wiegand 26 or 34.
4.
Drag the block to set the
me interval and pulse width.

The me interval ranges from 1 ms to 20 ms.

The pulse width ranges from 1 us to 100 us.
5.
Click Save to save the sengs.

If you change the peripheral, and aer you save the device parameters, the device will reboot

Set Video Intercom Parameters
The device can be used as a door staon, or outer door staon. You should set the device No.
before usage.

set Community No., Building No., and Unit No. You can press any digit buon to enter the calling
page, and enter the room No. and press call buon to call the resident.

Aer enabling, the device is registered to the main staon through the previous protocol. If
disabled, the device is registered to the main
staon through the new protocol.

Click Save.
Time Duraon Sengs
Set the Max. call duraon.
Go to Conguraon → Intercom → Call Sengs .
Drag the block to set the Max. call duraon. Click Save.
Note
The Max. call duraon range is 90 s to 120 s.
Number Sengs
You can call the room SIP to call the room.
Steps

In order to prevent the mobile phone from geng the data of the access control, you can
enable NFC card to increase the security level of the data.
Enable M1 Card
Enable M1 card and

M1 Card Encrypon
Sector
M1 card encrypon can improve the security level of authencaon.
Enable the funcon and set the encrypon sector. By default, Sector 13 is encrypted. It is
recommended to encrypt sector 13.
Enable EM Card
Enable EM card and
authencang by presenng EM card is available.
Note
If the peripheral card reader supports presenng EM card, the funcon is also supported to
enable/disable the EM card funcon.
Enable DESFire Card
The device can read the data from DESFire card when enabling the DESFire card funcon.
DESFire Card Read Content
Aer enable the DESFire card content reading funcon, the device can read the DESFire card
content.
Enable FeliCa Card
The device can read the data from FeliCa card when enabling the FeliCa card funcon.

Set the card reading content when authencate via card on the device.

Set the event storage type, picture upload and storage parameters, and the picture clearing
parameters.

Select a method to delete the event. You can select from Delete Old Events Periodically, Delete
Old Events by
Specied Time, or Overwring.

Drag the block or enter number to set the period for event deleng. All events will be deleted
according to the congured me duraon.

me and all events will be deleted on the congured me.
Overwring
The earliest 5% events will be deleted when the system detects the stored events has been over
95% of the full space.
Picture Uploading and Storage
Upload Picture Aer Linked Capture
Upload the pictures captured by linked camera to the plaorm automacally.
Save Pictures Aer Linked Capture
If you enable this funcon, you can save the picture captured by linked camera to the device.
Clear All Pictures in Device
Note
All pictures cannot be restored once they are deleted.

8.6.18 Password Mode
Before conguring passwords, it is necessary to clarify whether the password is device-set personal
PIN or a
plaorm-applied personal PIN. If it is a device-set personal PIN, it can be created and
edited on Web and cannot be created and edited on the plaorm; If it is a plaorm-applied
personal PIN, it needs to be congured on the plaorm and cannot be edited on the Web.
Steps

Conguraon → Security → Password Mode .

Select Password Mode.
Plaorm Password
It needs to be congured on the plaorm. It cannot be edited on the Web.
Device Password
It can be created and edited on the Web. It cannot be created and edited on the plaorm.
8.6.19 Time and
Aendance Sengs
If you want to track and monitor when the persons start/stop work and monitor their working
hours and late arrivals, early departures, me taken on breaks, and absenteeism, you can add the
person to the
shi group and assign a shi schedule (a rule for the aendance dening how the
schedule repeats, the shi type, break sengs, and the card swiping rule.) to the shi group to
dene the aendance parameters for the persons in the shi group.
Disable
Aendance Mode via Web
Disable the aendance mode and the system will not display the aendance status on the inial
page.
Steps
1.
Click Conguraon → T&A Status to enter the sengs page.
2.
Disable the Time and Aendance.
Result
You will not view or congure the aendance status on the inial page. And the system will follow
the aendance rule that congured on the plaorm.

If you do not select a status, the authencaon will be failed and it will not be marked as a valid

Set Auto Aendance via Web
Set the aendance mode as auto, and you can set the aendance status and its available schedule.
The system will automacally change the aendance status according to the congured schedule.

authencaon from Monday 11:00 to 12:00 will be marked as break.

Click Conguraon → Smart → Smart .
Select Fingerprint Security Level according to your actual needs.
8.6.21 Upgrade and Maintenance
Reboot device, restore device parameters, and upgrade device version.
Reboot Device
Click
Maintenance and Security → Maintenance → Restart .
Click Restart to reboot the device.
Upgrade
Click Maintenance and Security → Maintenance → Upgrade .
Select an upgrade type from the drop-down list. Click and select the upgrade le from your
local PC. Click Upgrade to start upgrading.
If the device has been connected to Hik-Connect and network, when there is a new installaon
package in Hik-Connect, you can click Upgrade aer Online Update to upgrade the device system.

Do not power o during the upgrading.
Restore Parameters
Click Maintenance and Security → Maintenance → Backup and Reset .
Restore All
All parameters will be restored to the factory sengs. You should acvate the device before
usage.
Restore
The device will restore to the default
sengs, except for the device IP address and the user
informaon.
Import and Export Parameters
Click Maintenance and Security → Maintenance → Backup and Reset .
Export
Click Export to export the device parameters.

You can import the exported device parameters to another device.

You can set device debugging parameters.
Steps

Click Maintenance and Security → Maintenance → Device Debugging .

You can set the following parameters.
Enable SSH
To raise network security, disable SSH service. The
conguraon is only used to debug the
device for the professionals.
8.6.23 Log Query
You can search and view the device logs.
Go to Maintenance and Security → Maintenance → Log .
Set the major and minor type of the log type. Set the start
me and end me for searching, and
click Search.
The results will be displayed below, which including the No.,
me, the major type the minor type,
the channel No., the local/remote user informaon, the remote host IP, etc.
8.6.24 Security Mode
Sengs
Set the security mode for logging in the client soware.
On the Device for Management page, click Conguraon → System → Security .
You can also enable SSH to get a more secure network.
Select a security mode from the drop-down list, and click Save.

Steps
1.
Go to Maintenance and Security → Security → Cercate Management .
2.
In the Cercate Files area, select a Cercate Type from the drop-down list.
3.
Click Create.
4.
Input
cercate informaon.
5.
Click OK to save and install the cercate.
The created cercate is displayed in the Cercate Details area.
The cercate will be saved automacally.
6.
Download the cercate and save it to an asking le in the local computer.
7.
Send the asking le to a cercaon authority for signature.
8.
Import the signed cercate.
1) Select a cercate type in the Import Passwords area, and select a cercate from the local,
and click Install.
2) Select a
cercate type in the Import Communicaon Cercate area, and select a cercate

Chapter 9 Congure the Device via the Mobile
Browser
9.1 Login
You can login via mobile browser.
Note

Parts of the model supports Wi-Fi sengs.

Make sure the device is acvated.
●
Make sure the device and the mobile phone are in the same Wi-Fi.
Enter the device IP address in the address bar of the mobile browser and press Enter to enter the
login page.
Enter the device user name and the password. Tap Login.
9.2 Overview
You can view the door status, network status and basic informaon, and set person management,
smart
sengs, authencaon sengs, and door parameters via shortcut entry.

If you forget the password when logging in, you can change the password by email address or
security quesons.
On the login page, tap Forget Password.

regularly, especially in the high security system, changing the password monthly or weekly can
beer protect your product.

and MTU, Mac address, MTU.
If you enable the
funcon, the system will allocate the IPv4 address, IPv4 subnet mask, the IPv4

automacally.
DNS Server
Set the preferred DNS server and the Alternate DNS server according to your actual need.
Set Wi-Fi Parameters
Set the Wi-Fi parameters for device wireless connecon.

Set Port Parameters
You can set the HTTP and HTTPS according to actual needs when accessing the device via network.

HTTP
It refers to the port through which the browser accesses the device. For example, when the

modied to 81, you need to enter hp://192.0.0.65:81 in the browser for login.
HTTPS
Set the HTTPS for accessing the browser. Cercate is required when accessing.
Plaorm
Access
Plaorm access provides you an opon to manage the devices via plaorm.
Steps

Tap → Device Access → Hik-Connect to enter the sengs page.

Hik-Connect is an applicaon for mobile devices. With the App, you can view live image of the
device, receive alarm nocaon and so on.

Environment
The scanner should avoid direct sun light, high temperature, humid condions and rain.
When it is dry, the scanner may not recognize your
ngerprint successfully. You can blow your
nger and scan again.
Others
If your ngerprint is shallow, or it is hard to scan your ngerprint, we recommend you to use other
authencaon methods.
If you have injuries on the scanned nger, the scanner may not recognize. You can change another
nger and try again.
