PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Carefully remove your heater from the box.
(Pleasesavethecartonforoff-seasonstorage.)
2. MakesuretheunitisintheOFFpositionbefore
pluggingtheheaterintotheoutlet.
3. Place heater on firm level surface.
4. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other
highwattageappliancesinthesameoutlet.At1500
Watts,thisunitdraws12.5Amps.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Forheateroperation,pleasesettheThermostatall
thewaytoHI(seeFigure1).
2. TurntheSelectorControltodesiredheatsetting
(highis1500wattslowis900watts)(seeFigure1).
3. ThePowerLightwillremainlitduringoperation,
untiltheunitisunplugged.
THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS
Setting the Thermostat
1. Priortosettingthethermostat,steps1&2ofthe
OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONSmustbecompletedtoallow
theheatertooperateandwarmuptheroom/area.
2. Whenthedesiredtemperature/comfortlevelis
reached,lowerthethermostatsettinguntilthefan/
heaterstopsoperating.
3. ThePowerLightwillremainlitwhenthepre-set
temperatureisreachedandwhentheunitisturned
off.
4. Thecontrolwillnowautomaticallymaintainthepre-
settemperaturelevelbyturningtheheaterONand
OFF.Thethermostatisnowset.
NOTE: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it
maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from
cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
During Season Care:
1. Alwaysunplugtheheaterbeforecleaningandallow
to cool.
2. Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a
mildsoapsolution.
3. NEVERuseabrasiveorflammablesolventstoclean
the unit.
4. Aftercleaning,besuretocompletelydrytheunit
with a cloth or towel.
Whenusingelectricalappliances,basicsafetyprecautions
shouldalwaysbefollowedtoreducetheriskoffire,electric
shock,andinjurytopersons,includingthefollowing:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. Thisheaterishotwheninuse.Toavoidburns,do
notletbareskintouchhotsurfaces.Ifprovided,
usehandleswhenmovingthisheater.Keep
combustiblematerials,suchasfurniture,pillows,
bedding,papers,clothes,andcurtainsatleast3
feet(0.9m)fromthefrontoftheheaterandkeep
them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extremecautionisnecessarywhenanyheateris
used by or near children or invalids and whenever
theheaterisleftoperatingandunattended.
4. Alwaysunplugheaterwhennotinuse.
5. Donotoperateanyheaterwithadamagedcord
orplugoraftertheheatermalfunctions,hasbeen
droppedordamagedinanymanner.Discard
heater,orreturntoauthorizedservicefacilityfor
examinationand/orrepair.
6. Donotuseoutdoors.
7. Thisheaterisnotintendedforuseinbathrooms,
laundryareasandsimilarindoorlocations.Never
locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
8. Donotruncordundercarpeting.Donotcovercord
with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings.
Donotroutecordunderfurnitureorappliances.
Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it
willnotbetrippedover.
9. Todisconnectheater,turncontrolstooff,then
removeplugfromoutlet.
10.Donotinsertorallowforeignobjectstoenterany
ventilationorexhaustopeningasthismaycause
anelectricshockorfire,ordamagetheheater.
11. Topreventapossiblefire,donotblockairintakesor
exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces,
likeabed,whereopeningsmaybecomeblocked.
12.Aheaterhashotandarcingorsparkingparts
inside.Donotuseitinareaswheregasoline,paint,
or flammable liquids are used or stored.
13.Usethisheateronlyasdescribedinthis
manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturermaycausefire,electricshock,or
injurytopersons.
14.Alwaysplugheatersdirectlyintoawalloutlet/
receptacle.Neverusewithanextensioncordor
relocatablepowertap(outlet/powerstrip).
15.Whenunplugging,besuretopullbytheplugand
not the cord.
16.Iftheheaterwillnotoperate,seespecific
instructionsonAutoSafetyShut-off.
17. DONOTattempttorepairoradjustanyelectrical
or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will
voidyourwarranty.Theinsideoftheunitcontains
nouserserviceableparts.Allservicingshouldbe
performedbyqualifiedpersonnelonly.
18.Discontinueuseifplugoroutletishot.Itis
recommendedthattheoutletbereplacedifplugor
outlet is hot to touch.
19.Theheatermustnotbelocatedimmediatelybelow
asocket-outlet.Donotusethisheaterinthe
immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimmingpool.
20.Donotusewithwirelessplugadapteroroutletthat
allows control remotely.

AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF WITH CERAMIC
CONTROL
Thisheaterisequippedwithasafetysystemthatrequires
theusertoresettheheaterifthereisapotentialoverheat
situation.Whenapotentialoverheattemperatureis
reached, the system will automatically shut the heater
off.Itcanonlyresumeoperationwhentheuserresets
the unit.
To Reset the Heater:
1. TurnMODEtoOFFandTHERMOSTATtoHI.
2. Unplugunit,wait30minutes.
3. PluginandturnON.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate:
•Turnthethermostattothehighestsetting.
•UNPLUGTHEUNIT.
•Makesuretheelectricaloutletorcircuitbreakeris
working.
•Checkforobstructions.Ifyoufindanobstruction
turntheheaterOFF,andunplugtheunit.Carefully
remove the obstruction and follow the reset
instructions.
Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the
heater.
HEATER STORAGE
1. Store heater unit with cord in a cool, dry location.
2. Werecommendstoringtheunitandcordinthe
originalpackage.
