Installing/Removing the Hucktainer
®
The Hucktainer
®
components are sold seperately.
The nose adapter Cat. No. 49-16-2661HT (sold
seperately) and Hucktainer
®
nose assembly sold by
Huck
®
are required to use the lockbolt tool.
1. Remove battery pack.
2. To install, using an adjustable wrench tighten the
inner Hucktainer
®
nose piece clockwise.
3. Slide the Hucktainer
®
adapter over the Hucktainer
®
inner nose piece and inner adapter and tighten
clockwise onto tool.
4. Attach the outer Hucktainer
®
nose piece and
tighten clockwise onto the Hucktainer
®
adapter.
5. To remove, reverse the procedure.

OPERATION
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, always
wear proper eye protection marked
to comply with ANSI Z87.1.
Always remove battery pack before changing
or removing accessories. Only use accessories
specically recommended for this tool. Others
may be hazardous.
Always hold tool securely and anticipate a sud-
den reaction.
Using the Lockbolt Tool
1. Prepare the workpiece. If
necessary, drill a pilot hole.
2. Place the lockbolt mandrel
into the nose piece.
3. Insert the lockbolt end into
the workpiece. Hold the tool
securely and pull and hold
the trigger until the lockbolt is
fully set and the motor stops.
Release the trigger. The tool
will reset.
NOTE: Releasing the trigger
before the lockbolt is fully set
will cause the tool to return to
its starting position.
4. After setting the lockbolt,
insert the next lockbolt to
push the spent mandrel to the mandrel collector.
5. Empty the mandrel collector after setting 50-60
lockbolts, depending on size.
ASSEMBLY
WARNING
Recharge only with the charger
specied for the battery. For spe-
cic charging instructions, read the operators
manual supplied with your charger and battery.
Removing/Inserting the Battery
To remove the battery, push in the release buttons
and pull the battery pack away from the tool.
WARNING
Always remove the battery pack
any time the tool is not in use.
To insert the battery, slide the pack into the body
of the tool. Make sure it latches securely into place.
WARNING
Only use accessories specically
recommended for this tool. Others
may be hazardous.
Always use mandrel collector. Spent mandrels
can be ejected from the tool, causing injury.
Installing/Emptying
Mandrel Collector/Back Cap
Once the lockbolt is set, the mandrel collects in the
box. Empty the mandrel collector often to avoid jam-
ming the tool. Empty the mandrel collector after set-
ting 50-60 lockbolts, depending on size. WARNING!
Never use the tool without the mandrel collector
installed. Spent mandrels can be ejected from the
tool, causing injury.
1. To install the mandrel collector/back cap, line
up the triangle with the triangle in the tool. Slide
the collector/back cap onto the tool, and rotate to
lock
in place.
2. To remove the mandrel collector/back cap, rotate
the collector/back cap and pull away from the tool.
Empty the collector and reinstall before use.
Installing/Removing the Lockbolt Adapter

use the lockbolt tool. The lockbolt
adapter is compatible with

fasteners.
1. Remove battery pack.
2. To install, using an adjustable
wrench tighten the inner lockbolt
adapter clockwise.
3. Slide on and tighten the Huck
®
inner nose piece.
4. Slide the outer housing over
the Huck
®
inner nose piece and
inner lockbolt adapter tightening
clockwise onto tool.
5. Attach the Huck
®
outer nose
piece.
6. Use an adjustable wrench to
tighten the nut to secure all the
components.
7. To remove, reverse the pro-
cedure.
