14. NEVER push food down by hand or with utensils into the feed chute or
work bowl during processing. ALWAYS use the food pushers provided
with the food processor to push ingredients into the work bowl.
15. Alteration or modification of any part of the appliance, including the use
of any part or parts that are not genuine authorized Vitamix parts, may
cause fire, electric shock, or injury and will void your warranty.
16. NEVER use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
17. NEVER place the multi-use blades or discs on the motor base without the
food processing work bowl in place.
18. When working with hot food, food should be brought as close to room
temperature as possible before processing. If hot food is being processed,
extreme caution must be used to avoid burns from escaping steam or
splashes. NEVER use ingredients above 2120F (1000C).
19. NEVER fill the work bowl higher than the marked maximum capacity line
(12 cups for dry ingredients and 8 cups for wet ingredients).
20. NEVER remove ingredients from the appliance during operation. Ensure
the motor is o and the blades have completely stopped before removing
the snap-on lid.
21. NEVER attempt to remove the snap-on lid while the appliance is operat-
ing. ALWAYS unplug the machine before the snap-on lid is removed.
22. If food becomes lodged around the multi-use blade or discs, turn o the
appliance, unplug the power cord, and remove the snap-on lid. Use a
spatula to dislodge the food. NEVER use fingers as the multi-use blade or
discs are sharp.
23. ALWAYS verify the snap-on lid and food pushers are securely locked in
place before operating the appliance.
24. NEVER attempt to defeat any safety interlock mechanisms, dismantle,
reconfigure, alter, or adapt the appliance in any way.
25. Keep hands, hair, clothing, and utensils out of the work bowl and feed
chute during operation to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons and/
or damage to the appliance. A spatula may be used, but only when the
food processor has been removed from the appliance motor base.
26. NEVER leave the working area or move the appliance when the in use.
27. NEVER leave any foreign object, such as spoons, forks, knives, or food
pushers, in the work bowl as this will damage the multi-use blade or discs
and other components when starting the appliance and may cause injury.
28. If during use, the sound of the appliance changes or if a hard or foreign
object comes into contact with the blending blades, NEVER serve the
food being made with the appliance.
29. DO NOT continuously use the appliance for more than 3 minutes.
30. If the machine shuts o prematurely or the work bowl wobbles or rocks
during processing, turn the appliance o and wait until the motor comes
to a complete stop and the blades have completely stopped before
attempting to remove the food processor from the motor base. Adjust the
ingredients and/or reduce the load in the appliance.
31. Follow care instructions in the blender owner’s manual to care for the
motor base. Follow care instructions in this manual to care for the food
processor.
32. NEVER allow the multi-use blade or discs to soak in water for long periods
of time.
33. NEVER use harsh abrasive, caustic cleaners, or oven cleaners when clean-
ing the appliance or its accessories.
34. NEVER use outdoors or on moving vehicles or boats.
35. NEVER process frozen meat, meat with bones, or larger than the size of
the palm of a human hand with the multi-use blade.
36. Regularly inspect the power cord, power plug, and the appliance for any
damage. NEVER operate if damaged in any way or after the appliance
malfunctions. Immediately cease use of the appliance and visit Vitamix.

37. Any repair, servicing, or replacement of parts must be performed by Vitamix or
