Turn the cabinet over and insert the
casters snugly into the bottom. Just
use your hands! Using tools can crack the
cabinet.
Turn the cabinet upright and place the
wide end of the float in the circular
area in the bottom of the cabinet.
There is a retainer ring on top of your
wick. Pull this to fully extend it.
Locate the vent on the back of your
Alliance. It has a narrow lip along the
top. The top of your wick has raised lettering
that says BACK. With the back of your wick
facing the vent, slide the wick down onto the
vent lip until it catches, slipping the float rod
into the retainer ring as you go.
Lift o the fan assembly and remove
everything from the cabinet. Do
not discard the cardboard box under the
assembly. This box contains your float, float
rod, bottle cover, and accessories bag.
The AIRCARE 1051 air filter can be used
with your Alliance for added air filtration.
While your 1045 Super Wick® is required for
operation, the 1051 filter is optional. If you are
using the 1051 filter, install it now. Install your
1051 air filter by clipping the filter’s hooks into the
slots on the back of your Alliance.
Put your Alliance in the most centrally-
located room of your home. It should be on
a level surface against an interior wall. Make sure it’s
at least two inches from the wall so the humidistat
(on the cord) can accurately read your humidity.
Put the fan assembly on the cabinet.
Make sure the float makes a solid
connection with the fan switch inside the fan
assembly. The fan switch looks like a small,
silver diving board.
Fill your water bottle, then tighten the cap
with your hands, making sure the cap is
correctly threaded. Do not overfill the bottle.

More about positioning:
To maximize humidity circulation, put your unit near a cold air return.
If you prefer to put your unit in the room where humidity is most
needed, you can! But the humidity won’t circulate as well with this
method.
Don’t put your humidifier under a window, as condensation may occur.
Put the unit on the bottom floor of a multi-story home.
