IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WHEN INSTALLING OR USING AN ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE
BASIC PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED,
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
WARNING
Risk of electric shock! If casing is removed or handled improperly
the internal components of the unit may cause harm or become
permanently damaged. Do not expose the internal mechanisms/
components of this appliance to moisture.
WARNING
FELV terminals marked “Risk of electric shock” are not safe to touch.
WARNING
Circuits connected to any FELV control terminal shall be insulated for the
LV supply voltage of the controlgear and any terminals connected to the
FELV circuit shall be protected against accidental contact.
1. All electrical installation and repair work should be carried out
by a qualified electrician in accordance with current local codes
or regulations.
2. Do not connect any DALI terminals to mains power. DALI wires are NOT
SELV and should never be considered touch safe. Basic level of isolation
or better is required between DALI wires and mains cabling.
3. Double/reinforced insulation shall be provided for the wirings of
terminals (DIM / SPLIT) of daughter PCB.
4. Consult local and national accessibility codes and regulations for
relevant installation guidelines. This appliance should be installed with
appropriate fixings for the installation environment. Conformity and
compliance is the responsibility of the installer.
5. If any part of the appliance is not working as it should, has received
a sharp blow, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or been in
contact with water, do not use and contact the Dyson Helpline.
6. CAUTION: Possibly hazardous optical radiation emitted from this
product. Do not stare at the operating lamp. May be harmful to the eye.
7. Do not install or use with a damaged suspension cable. If the
suspension cable supplied is damaged it must be replaced by Dyson, its
service agent or similiarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
8. This appliance is only compatible with DALI compliant dimmer products.
9. Use a dry, lint free cloth or compressed air (solvent and moisture
free) to clean the appliance. Ensure the appliance is switched off
before cleaning.
10. Ensure no pipe work (gas, water, air) or electrical cables, wires or
ductwork are located directly behind the drilling/mounting area.
11. Check that the electrical supply corresponds to that shown on the rating
plate. If the appliance is connected to any electrical supply other than
that stated on the rating plate permanent damage or improper/unsafe
operation of the appliance may result.
12. The product must be earthed.
13. The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light
source reaches its end of life the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
14. The appliance is designed for dry, internal location only. Operating
environment range 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F) and 10-95% RH
non-condensing.
15. RISK OF FIRE - Required clearance from structural members and fire
elements: SCB = 0mm HCB = 0mm
