USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to safely and correctly care for this fan.
REPLACEABLE FUSE
If the (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows, please visit our website at www.getholmesfans.com for information
on how to order a new fuse. Follow the below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.
REPLACING THE FUSE
1. Unplug the fan.
Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device.
NOTE: Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
2. Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead
screwdriver to slide the cover towards the prongs.
NOTE: Ensure the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove fuse.
3. Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry it from the compartment at
the metal ends of the fuse. (See Figure 2)
4. Place plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert new 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into fuse
compartment. Use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the
compartment.
CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
5. Slide fuse cover closed completely.
NOTE: If fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure the fuse is completely secured in place by pressing on metal ends
of the fuse.
CAUTION: Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be
removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.

FAN CLEANING
• Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
• Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan
housing.
• Use only a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap
solution.
• Do not use harsh chemicals such as gasoline,
thinner or benzene as a cleaner.
• Do not attempt to remove the fan blade.
• Please use caution around the housing area.
Do not allow the motor or other electrical
components to be exposed to water.
FAN HEAD AND BASE CLEANING
Unplug the fan, then, using a soft, moist cloth, with or
without a mild soap solution, carefully clean the fan base
and head. Use CAUTION around the housing area.
Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to
be exposed to water.
FAN STORAGE
• Store the fan in a clean, dry location between seasons
or when not in use for an extended period.
• Keep the fan protected from dirt and dust during
storage.
TILT ADJUSTMENT
To change the tilting angle of the fan head, simply move
the fan head to manually position to the desired angle.
An audible click will confirm each angle adjustment.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Set fan base on a dry, level, stable surface.
2. Plug cord into any standard 120 volt AC outlet.
3. The speed is adjusted by pressing the speed control
buttons to the desired setting:
O-OFF
1-Low
2-Medium
3-High
4. To start oscillation, press the Oscillation Knob (H) down.
To stop oscillation, pull the Oscillation Knob (H) up.

22. This fan employs overload protection (fuse). A blown
fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation.
If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet.
Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions
(follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and
check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a
short circuit may be present and the product should be
discarded or contact customer service.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be taken including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. Use fan only for purposes described in the instruction
manual.
3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse unit,
plug or cord in water or spray with liquids and plug
the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

6. Unplug from outlet when not in use, when moving
fan from one location to another, before putting on or
taking off parts and before cleaning.
7. Avoid contact with moving parts.

9. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER place the cord under rugs
or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other
heating appliance.
10. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord

11. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord
with throw rugs, runner, or similar coverings. Do not

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (SEE FIGURE 1)
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS OF THE
PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR
PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE THIS FAN.
Estimated assembly time: 5–10 minutes
1. Pull power cord (L) through base opening (K) and
secure into notch at the back of the base.
2. To assemble the base, insert the Control Panel (J)
and Power Cord (L) into the Fan Base (K).
3. Line up the center hole of the Rear Grill (E) with the
Motor Shaft (F) on the Motor Housing (G).
4. Secure Rear Grill (E) to Motor Housing (G) with Rear
Grill Mounting Nut (D). Turn clockwise to tighten.
5. Secure Fan Blade (C) to Motor Shaft (F) with the
Blade Cap (B). Align blade notches and push into
the Motor Shaft (F) cross pin. Turn counterclockwise
to tighten.
6. Align the Front Grill (A) with the Rear Grill (E) so
the logo is in the centre. Secure in place by lightly
pushing together, an audible click will confirm
alignment.
