ASSEMBLY & USE
1. UNRAVEL CORD BEFORE USE. Failure to do so could cause overheating and possible fire hazard.
NOTE: Always unplug cord from electrical outlet before removing steam unit and when vaporizer is not
in use. Always allow vaporizer to cool completely before moving, cleaning, or storing.
2. FILL WATER TANK. Remove steam unit. Fill water tank with tap water to water fill line on water tank.
CAUTION: Do not overfill.
3. ADD SALT. Add approximately 1/8 teaspoon of salt to the water and mix
thoroughly. It is imperative to mix thoroughly. The salt has no effect on
the purity of the steam or medication.
CAUTION: Too much salt can cause
excessive boiling or blown fuse.
4. REPLACE STEAM UNIT. Hold down steam
unit for ten seconds to allow water to
enter the housing and seat it properly in
the water tank. If steam unit floats,
container is overfilled.
5. Add 1 or 2 vapor pad (HS-1950) to the
vapor Tray (optional)
6. PLACE VAPORIZER IN A SAFE LOCATION. Vaporizer should always be
placed on a firm, flat surface at least four feet away from bedside and
out of the reach of children. Be sure the vaporizer is in a stable position
and power cord is out of the way.
7. VAPORIZER MEDICATIONS. Add medication directly into the water tank. Only use medication that is
designed to be used with warm steam vaporizers. Follow the dosage directions that came with the
vaporizer liquid.
8. PLUG IN. Plug power cord into 110-120V outlet. DO NOT use extension cords.
Within a few minutes, the vaporizer will produce of a gentle flow of steam. If steaming does not start
within ten minutes, you may need to add salt. The vaporizer will automatically stop producing steam
when water has reached minimum level. Always unplug steam unit and allow to cool before removing
from water tank.
NOTE: Under conditions of rapid boiling and near the end of each operation, steam may emerge from
both sides of the steam vent. This condition is normal, preventing over boiling by relieving steam pressure.
DO NOT lift or move the vaporizer while it is in use.
9. USE FRESH WATER AND MEDICATION. Always use fresh water and medication with each use of vaporizer.
10. AFTER EACH USE. Empty any unused water from the tank. Shale the tank gently to remove any remaining
water. Rinse the water tank thoroughly, drain and wipe with a dry, clean cloth.
WARNING
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Carefully supervise children when the vaporizer is in use,
especially infants and toddlers. Vaporizers produce hot steam that can cause serious burns.

6
Discoloration/Black Particles
After use, the water residue in the bottom of the container may contain black particles caused by
minerals in your water passing through the vaporizer. In some areas the water and the bottom of
container may discolor. These conditions are normal and do not affect the purity of the steam or
medication. The water tank is easily cleaned with soap and water. Rinse and dry the container after
cleaning.
MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT: Failure to keep this vaporizer clean from mineral deposits normally contained in any water
supply will affect the efficiency of the operation. Customer failure to follow these instructions may void
warranty
ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE PLUG FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET AND ALLOW UNIT TO COOL BEFORE
CLEANING. REMOVE STEAM UNIT, LETTING ALL WATER DRAIN BACK INTO THE WATER TANK.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE THE HEATING ELEMENT. DOING SO WILL VOID WARRANTY AND COULD
DAMAGE THE VAPORIZER OR CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.
DAILY MAINTENANCE
1. Always turn off and unplug from outlet before cleaning.
2. Empty water from the water tank and rinse the water tank thoroughly with water.
3. Wipe and dry water tank with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
1. Always turn off and unplug from outlet before cleaning.
2. Empty water from the water tank and rinse the water tank thoroughly with water.
3. Fill water tank with water and add 2 Tablespoons of white vinegar. Allow to soak for 20-30 minutes.
Empty water tank and rinse with tap water until the smell of white vinegar is gone. Wipe and dry
water tank with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel.
4. Ensure that the steam unit is safely unplugged. Soak the steam unit in about 3 ½ inches of white
vinegar for approximately 10 minutes.
5. After the steam unit is done soaking, with fingers covering the bottom holes of the steam unit,
add tap water to the steam outlet. Cover steam outlet with finger from other hand, shake
vigorously then empty the water through the steam outlet. Repeat several times until black
particles are no longer emitted, and vinegar odor is gone.

Problem
Solution
If vaporizer does not
operate or steams too
slowly:
Ensure unit is properly plugged into a power outlet.
You may need to add salt. Unplug the vaporizer from
electrical outlet and allow to cool. Remove steam unit
allowing hot water to first empty out. Add 1-2 pinches of
salt and mix thoroughly. Replace the steam unit and plug
in vaporizer. It should steam within 5 minutes. Add salt
only by the PINCH, since too much salt can cause
excessive boiling or blowing of fuses.
If vaporizer has been operating normally and is now
failing to steam, it needs to be cleaning. See “Weekly
Maintenance.”
If vaporizer operates too
fast, fuse blows – too much
salt may have been added
to the water:
Disconnect vaporizer from electrical outlet and allow to
cool. Pour out water and rinse container. Rinse steam
unit as described in “Weekly Maintenance.” Refill with
fresh water but DO NOT ADD SALT.
If vaporizer now does not operate or steams too slowly,
see directions above.
If vaporizer operates too
fast, fuse blows – you may
live in an area where
minerals in the water
caused the vaporizer to
steam too rapidly:
Disconnect vaporizer from electrical outlet and allow to
cool. Pour out water and rinse container. Rinse steam
unit as described in “Weekly Maintenance.” Refill with
fresh water but DO NOT ADD SALT.
If unit still steams too rapidly, use ½ distilled water and ½
tap water.
In “hard water” areas it is advisable to clean the unit
every few days in accordance with the “Weekly
Maintenance.”
If vaporizer is making
crackling/buzzing/humming
sounds or water tank is
unusually hot:
You may have added too much salt.
You may live in a “hard water” area.
The water level may be low. Disconnect vaporizer from
electrical outlet, allow to cool, remove steam unit
allowing hot water to run out. Fill container with tap water
to water fill line.
You may need to clean your vaporizer. Refer to the
“Weekly Maintenance.”
