3. Install the Pedals

Ensure that the thread of each pedal is fully inserted into the crank arm. Tighten
the pedals completely with a wrench. (Counterclockwise screw the pedal marked
"L" on the left side crank. Clockwise screw the pedal marked "R" on the right side
crank.)
There is a right pedal labeled "R" and a left pedal labeled "L".
Make sure that the threads of the individual pedals are fully seated in the crank
arm.
Make sure the pedals are fully tightened with a wrench.
Note: Make sure that you recognize the letters R / L on the pedal screw during
assembly. installing
