Problem Potential Cause Solution
The appliance does not start Not plugged in Plug in
The appliance does not start and
the start/stop is flashing
Removable upper burr is not
inserted correctly
Insert removable upper burr
correctly
Coffee ground container is not
inserted correctly
Insert the coffee container inclu-
ding its lid correctly
Lid of coffee ground container is
missing
Attach lid correctly to the cont-
ainer
The appliance does not re-start
and the start/stop button is
fading
Overheat protection is activated
to avoid burning of coffee
Wait until the fading of the start/
stop button turns off
Thermal protector is activated Check if overheat protection is ac-
tive. If not wait some time, unplug
and plug in again to restart. If the
appliance does not restart cont-
act your service center
It is not possible to adjust the
grinding setting.
The grinding setting was adjus-
ted before the appliance has
been switched on
