Window Requirements
These insu-actions are for a stand_d double-
hung window. You will need to modify them for
other types of windows.
The air conditioner can be installed without
the accordion panels ifneeded to fit in a nalTow
window. See the window opening dimensions
at light.
All supporting parLsmust be secured to firm
wood, masonry or metal.
The elecl_ical outlet must be within reach of the
Ix)wer cord.

Storm Window Requirements
A storm window Frame will not allow the air
conditioner m dlt towards the outside and will keep
it from draining properly. To adjttst for this, attach
a piece of wood to the stool.

THICKNESS:To determine the thickness, place a
piece of wood on the stool to make it l/9" higher
than the top of the storm window li'ame.
Attach _curely with nails or screws provided by
the installer.
Remove the Front Grille, if attached
[] Remove shipping tape ifpresent. On modets
with a slide out air filler, remove it (_e the Care
and Cleaning section) and the screw behind it
(ifpresent) that holds the gIille in place.
On models with a l_aiseup
inlet giille, lift it (see the
Cue and Cleaning section)
and remove the screw
behind it (if present) that
holds the grille in place.
] Pull the bottom grille corne_ out to release the
lower tabs on each side.
NOTE: Donot pull the bottom edge toward you more
than 3" or you may damage the tabs of the grille.
[] Lift the grille up and off the top tabs.
