CORD STORAGE
Wrap cord around hooks for convenient storage.
Attach the plug end to the cord.
BRUSH ROLL MAINTENANCE
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
electric shock or injury from moving parts -
Unplug before cleaning or servicing.
At least once a month, check for and remove
excess lint, string or hair from the revolving
brushroll. Patented cleaning grooves on the
brushroll will allow easier cleaning. Wipe the
outside of the vacuum with a damp cloth. Also
clean the connector deflector assembly area
base of vacuum and fan housing area. If there is
dust in the outer bag, vacuum it or shake it out.
A little preventative maintenance will keep your
upright vacuum looking new and will ensure
continued cleaning eectiveness.
REPLACING THE BRUSHROLL
The brush roll is designed for long life. Should it
ever become worn or frayed, it can be replaced
by an Oreck authorized service center.
TROUBLESHOOTING & PARTS

Service problems that appear to be major can often be solved easily. You can be your own troubleshooting by reviewing this guide.
Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative.
If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a service center prior to continuing use.
PROBLEM CHECK WHAT TO DO
Vacuum will not run. 1. Not plugged in properly.
2. No electricity in wall outlet.
3. The Brushroll is blocked.
1. Be sure power cord is firmly plugged into wall outlet.
2. Check electrical source - fuse or circuit breaker in home.
3. Clear blockage. Unit will reset. (refer to STUFFING OR
BLOCKAGE)
Vacuum does not pick up. 1. Did the vacuum shut down on very dense material or large
obstruction, and did the lights flash?
2. Disposable inner bag is full.
3. Nozzle or intake pivot clog.
4. Brush is worn.
5. Bag tube clogged.
6. Big pores are clogged with fine dust.
7. Impeller fan is broken.
8. Brusroll is not even at both ends.
1. See steps on clearing an obstruction (refer to STUFFING
OR BLOCKAGE). Turn cleaner OFF and unplug it from the
electrical outlet.. When cleaner is unplugged and motor
cools for 30 minutes, the thermal protector will deactivate
and cleaning may continue.
2. Replace Disposable Inner Bag (refer to INNER BAG REMOVAL)
3. Clear blockage (refer to STUFFING OR BLOCKAGE)
4. Contact Oreck Authorized Service Center.
5. Clear blockage (refer to STUFFING OR BLOCKAGE)
6. Change Disposable Inner Bag (refer to INNER BAG REMOVAL)
7. Contact Oreck Authorized Service Center.
8. Contact Oreck Authorized Service Center.
Vacuum still does not operate
properly.

WARRANTY FOR UPRIGHT VACUUMS

ORECK MANUFACTURING COMPANY gives you the
following limited warranty for this product only
if it was originally purchased for residential use,
not resale, from Oreck or an Oreck Authorized
Retail Dealer.
Oreck will repair or replace, free of charge, to
the original purchaser, any part that is found
to be defective in material or workmanship
within a limited time period based on the date
of purchase and its specific product model
number. This limited warranty applies to normal
domestic use. Any commercial use of this
product will void this limited warranty.
This limited warranty does not cover the
replacement of expendable or consumable
parts such as carbon motor brushes, edge
brushes, brushrolls drive belts, brushes, bulbs,
disposable bags and other parts subject to
normal wear unless they are defective in
material or workmanship
This limited warranty does not apply to any
part subjected to accident, abuse, commercial
use, alteration, misuse, damage caused by a
fire or act of God, the use of voltages other than
indicated on the serial number displayed on
this product or service of this product by other
than Oreck or a participating Factory Authorized
Service Center. Oreck does not authorize any
person or representative to assume or grant
any other warranty obligation with the sale of
this product.
Oreck’s limited warranty is valid only if you
retain proof of purchase from Oreck or an
Oreck Authorized Retail Dealer for this product.
If you purchase this product from any other
source, your purchase is “AS IS,” which means
Oreck grants you no warranty, and that you,
not Oreck, assume the entire risk of the quality
and performance of this product, including the
entire cost of any necessary servicing or repairs
of any defects.
ORECK’S LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES TO YOU FOR
ANY COSTS WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF THIS
STATEMENT OF LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL
