Pull up the drive chain and check the
slack between the top of the swingarm
and the drive chain by the scale.
Drive chain slack:
CRF300L/LA
2 - 2 1/4 in (50 - 55 mm)
CRF300LDA
1 7/8 - 2 in (45 - 50 mm)

Do not ride your vehicle if the slack
exceeds 2 1/4 in (57 mm).
CRF300LDA
Do not ride your vehicle if the slack
exceeds 2 1/16 in (52 mm).
5.
Roll the vehicle forward and check that
the chain moves smoothly.

Clean and lubricate the drive chain.
