Problem Cause and remedy
The temperature display
lights up but the refri-
geration appliance is
not cooling.
Demo mode has been activated. This allows the refri-
geration appliance to be presented in the dealer
showroom without the cooling system being
switched on. This setting is not needed for domestic
use.
Switch off demo mode by running the appliance
self-test:
Switch the refrigeration appliance off and back on
again after 5minutes.
Within the next 10seconds, press the button for
setting the temperature for 3–5seconds until the
indicator for 2°C lights up in the temperature dis-
play.
The temperature displays light up in succession to in-
dicate the start of the self-test.
- If the temperature display shows the temperature
set previously after a relatively short period of time,
your refrigeration appliance is ready for operation.
- If the indicator for the SuperFreeze function on
the control panel flashes for 10seconds after a rel-
atively short period of time, a fault has occurred.

The temperature inside
the refrigeration appli-
ance deviates signific-
antly from the selected
setting.
It may take several hours until the temperature inside
the refrigeration appliance returns to the previous
setting.
In some cases, it can help to switch off the refri-
geration appliance for 5minutes and then switch it
back on again.
The compressor is
switching on more fre-
quently and for longer
periods of time. The
temperature in the refri-
geration appliance is
too low.
The ventilation gaps have been covered or become
too dusty.
Do not block the ventilation gaps.
Dust the ventilation gaps regularly.
The appliance doors have been opened too fre-
quently, or a large amount of fresh food has been put
in all at once for storage or freezing.
Only open the appliance doors when necessary
and for as short a time as possible.
