3 Rear
Facing
8. Test For Tightness
Grab the sides of the seat where the
vehicle seat belt is and slide the car seat
side to side and front to back.
If the seat moves less than 1” (2.5 cm), it
is tight enough.
9. Check the Rear-Facing Level
Indicator
Vehicle MUST be on level ground. Ball
must be completely in the blue zone.
Readjust the incline if needed. Or if
needed, rolled towels may be placed
under the car seat at the vehicle seat
crease, until the ball is completely in the
blue zone.
See section 6-A to secure your child.
Recheck the level indicator with child in
seat.
