USING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
Your compressor does not require running in. Before use
ensure you have read and understood these instructions.
Before use ensure this compressor is fully assembled as per
pages 10 and 11.
COLD WEATHER STARTING
If the ambient temperature has dropped below 10°C your
air compressor may struggle to start. To ensure your air
compressor starts smoothly we recommend starting your
air compressor in the following way when cold for the
first time.
1. Open drain tap and drain air completely.
2. Leave drain tap open.
3. Start air compressor, following steps 3, 4 and 5, from
“STARTING THE AIR COMPRESSOR”.
4. Allow your air compressor to run with drain tap open
for about a minute.
5. Close drain tap.
6. Follow steps 6 through 12, from “STARTING THE AIR
COMPRESSOR” and your air compressor will
operate correctly.
STARTING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
Before starting run through this simple list;
1. Fully assembled.
2. Drain tap – open and drain tank.
3. Drain tap – close fully.
4. Check power lead for any damage. If damaged have
replaced by an authorised service centre.
5. Plug compressor into a standard 240V 10Amp AC
power point and turn ON.
6. Lift the red button to turn ON, see page 11, Pic. 5.
7. Allow the compressor to fill the air tank.
8. Turn the compressor OFF.
9. Turn the power point OFF and disconnect the
power lead from the power point.
10. Connect your air hose and air tools.
11. Reconnect to the power lead to the power point
and turn ON.
12. Turn your compressor ON.
13. Once turned on and you begin using the connected
air tools the compressor will start and stop without
warning. This is controlled by the pressure switch.
These pressure settings are factory set and should
not be changed.
MOTOR RESET
Your air compressor is fitted with a motor reset button,
Pic. 6. If your air compressor has failed to start, or stopped
suddenly, there is high likelihood that the motor reset
button has been activated.
If the button is sticking out, follow these to reset;
1. Turn air compressor off at the pressure switch,
push red button down, see page 11 Pic. 5.
2. Allow to cool for about 2 minutes.
3. Push reset button in.
4. Turn air compressor on at pressure switch,
lift red button up, see page 11 Pic. 5.
Note: If this happens again without the air compressor
running, follow the instructions for Cold Weather Starting
after resetting the motor reset button.
