PROBLEM
WASHER OR DRYER
WON'T START
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Make sure controls are properly set and washer Cycle Selector _spulled out or dryer
START button _spushed.
Apphance unplugged Make sure cord is firmly plugged into electrical outlet.
No .power to apphance. Check fuses and c_rcult breakers to make sure apphance _s
getting current
Dryer door is open. Dryer will not run with door open. Make sure washer lid is closed.
Washer wdl fill but wdl not spin with hd open.
Make sure both hot and cold faucets are turned on.
WON'T DRAIN Kinked or pinched hose. Check and correct.
Top of dram outlet should be less than 8 feet above the floor.
WATER LEAKS Make sure hose connecnons are right at faucets.
Make sure end of dram hose as correctly inserted into and secured to dram Ihcdlty.
WASHER WON'T Lid not closed Washer wdl not progq'ess through spin cycle with lid up. Make sure hd
SPIN AND is closed Lid wdl be automancally locked during spin pornon for safety.
COMPLETE CYCLE
CLOTHES ARE Load may have been excessively out of balance Redistribute clothes and rerun through
ABNORMALLY final spin.
WET AFTER SPIN
APPLLANCE IS Heax'fly unbalanced loads can cause the washer to vibrate excessively dunng spin, and
NOISY may cause _t to move from _ts original posmon. To correct, open the hd and redistribute
the load evenly about the wash basket Close the hd and restart.
Metalhc "'chcks" heard as timer advances dunng operanon are normal.
Uneven floor. Make sure apphance is level and firm to floor
WATER DOES NOT Faucets turned off. Make sure faucets are on and adjusted correctly.
ENTER OR ENTERS Hoses kinked. Check and correct.

Clogged screen m _ater valve Unscrew fill hose from washer and clean screen ff
necessary When reassembhng, make hand right plus l 3 turn with phers.

INCORRECT
Faucets not adjusted to give desired temperature. Readjust them.
Household water heater not set to dehver correct temperature--140 ° to 150°F.
