roundshaftscrewdriverfortestingbalance.Remove
metalfromtheheavysideuntilit balancesevenly.

6. Lubricatetheenginecrankshaftandtheinnersurface
ofthebladeadapterwith lightoil.Slidetheblade
adapterontotheenginecrankshaft.
7. Placethebladeontheadaptersuchthattheside
oftheblademarked"Bottom"(or withpartnumber)
facesgroundwhenthemowerisintheoperating
position.Makesurethat thebladeisalignedand
seatedonbladeadapterflanges.
8. Placebladebellsupporton theblade.Align notches
onthebladebellsupportwithsmallholesinblade.
9. Replacehexboltandtightenhexbolttotorque:450
in.Ibs.rain.,600in.Ibs.max.
Toensuresafeoperationofyourmower,periodically
checkthebladeboltforcorrecttorque.
Off-Season Storage
Thefollowingstepsshouldbetakento prepareyourlawn
mowerforstorage.
Cleanandlubricatemowerthoroughlyasdescribedin
thelubricationinstructions.
Donotusea pressurewasheror gardenhoseto
cleanyourunit.
Refertoenginemanualforcorrectenginestorage
instructions.
Coatmower'scuttingbladewithchassisgreaseto
preventrusting.
Storemowerin adry,cleanarea.Donotstorenextto
corrosivematerials,suchasfertilizer.
Whenstoringanytypeofpowerequipmentin a poorly
ventilatedor metalstorageshed,careshouldbetakento
rust-prooftheequipment.Usinga lightoilor silicone,coat
theequipment,especiallycablesandall movingpartsof
yourlawnmowerbeforestorage.

When removingthe
cutting blade for
sharpening or replace-
ment, protect your
hands with a pair of
heavy gloves or use a
heavy rag to hold the
blade.
An unbalancedblade
will cause excessive
vibrationwhen rotat-
ing at high speeds, it
may cause damage
to mower and could
break causing per-
sonal injury.
Do not use a pressure
washer or garden
hoseto clean your
unit. These may cause
damage to electric
components, spindles,
pulleys, bearings, or
the engine. The use
of water will result
in shortened life and
reduce serviceability.
