HOT BLENDING INSTRUCTIONS
To prevent scalding when mixing or blending hot ingredients, the following precautions must
be observed:
1. Use a tall container less than half full or make small quantities at a time.
2. Insert blade end of the hand blender into container until it is touching the bottom
before pressing the ON/OFF button.
3. Take care not to lift the blender out of the hot ingredients while operating the hand
blender.
4. Do not stand directly over container of hot ingredients while operating the hand
blender.
WARNING: Do not use hand blender in saucepan directly on stovetop. Remove pan from
heat before blending.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning.
2. Important: Do not try to sharpen the cutting edges of the blade. It has been
precision honed at the factory and will be damaged by any attempted sharpening.
3. When the hand blender is not in use, unplug the hand blender from the wall outlet.
4. Before cleaning, be sure the hand blender has been unplugged from the outlet. To
make cleaning easier, rinse parts immediately after processing. The motor unit may
be wiped with a damp cloth and dried thoroughly. Important: Do not immerse the
motor in water or other liquid.
5. Be careful when handing the sharp blades. Wash in hot, soapy water, rinse and dry.
Do not use scouring pads or harsh cleanser on any of the plastic or metal parts.
WARNING: Unplug hand blender before cleaning. Do not place hand blender in dishwasher.
Motor unit should be wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
WARNING: To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put hand blender in water or
other liquid.
After using your hand blender, the blades may be washed by hand with mild soap and water.
Wash by hand using warm, soapy water with a cloth or sponge.
CAUTION: Blades are sharp. Handle carefully. Make sure all parts are completely dry before
attempting to use again.
STORAGE
Unplug unit and store in a clean, dry place. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance. DO
NOT put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit as it could cause the cord to fray and
