Carefully remove the appliance from the box and remove the support brackets. Prior to installing the appliance,
remove all packaging material and test to make sure the appliance operates properly by plugging the power
supply cord into a conveniently located 120V, 15 Amp minimum grounded outlet.

installation
Due to the many different materials used on different walls, it is highly
recommended that you consult your local builder before you
install this appliance on the wall.
A. Select a location that is not prone to moisture and is located at least 3 feet (1m) away from combustible
materials such as curtain, drapes, furniture, bedding, paper, etc.
B. Remove the wall mounting bracket from the appliance by unscrewing the 2 screws holding the wall
mounting bracket to the appliance (Fig. 3-1).
C. Have two people hold the appliance against the wall to determine the final location.
D. Mark out location, then mount the bracket onto the wall using screws (supplied) (Fig. 3-2). This bracket
MUST have the hooks facing upward and be level.
E. With the wall mounting bracket installed, have two people lift the appliance up and align the slots on the
back of the appliance with the hooks on the wall bracket.
F. Secure the appliance to the wall bracket using the 2 screws previously removed in Step B.
3.2 installing the appliance
3.2.1 wall mount installation
It is strongly recommended that the mounting bracket be screwed into the wall studs where possible. If the wall
studs cannot be used, ensure that the supplied plastic anchors are used to affix the bracket to the wall and the
bracket is adequately secured.
The wall bracket is fixed on the back of the appliance.

A. Place appliance on a soft clean surface.
B. Remove the 4 screws from the bottom of the appliance (Fig. 3-3). Do not throw away screws.
C. Using the same screws, align the center stand piece to the bottom holes and secure it into the appliance
(Fig. 3-4).
D. Prepare the glass base and ensure that the rubber feet of the glass base are facing away from the
appliance (Fig. 3-5).
E. Using the 5 screws supplied (C X 5), secure the glass base into the center piece.
F. Check if the glass stand is secured properly. Ensure appliance is standing straight and still (Fig. 3-6).

4.0 finishing
4.1 front glass removal
A. Place one hand on the front glass and remove the 2 screws from the top of the appliance (Fig. 4-1).
B. Carefully lift the glass up and away from the appliance (Fig. 4-2).

4.2 crystal / pebble media installation
A. Clean the crystal media with a mild dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry
before placing it into the media tray.
B. If applicable, remove the log set (see “log installation / removal” section).
C. Place the media tray onto the front of the appliance opening.
D. Carefully place crystals or pebbles into the bottom tray on the front of the
appliance as illustrated. Apply an even layer from side to side.
E. Re-secure the front glass.

WARNING
• Power supply service must be completed prior to finishing to avoid reconstruction.
• Heat vents and air openings cannot be covered in any circumstances.

WARNING
• Glass may be hot. Do not touch glass until cooled.
• If equipped with door latches that are part of a safety system, they must be properly engaged. Do not
operate the appliance with latches disengaged.
• Facing and/or fi nishing materials must not interfere with air fl ow through air openings, louvre openings,
operation of louvres, or doors/access for service. Observe all clearances when applying combustible
materials.
• Before door is removed, turn the appliance off and wait until appliance is cool to the touch. Doors are heavy
and fragile so handle with care.

Once the appliance has been plugged into a grounded electrical outlet, it is ready to operate.
The main power switch is located on the left side of the appliance.
The "|" indicates on and "O" indicates off. Push the switch to "|" to turn on the appliance.

Ensure the house circuit breakers for the power supply are turned on. In the event of a power failure, when the
main power switch of the appliance is in the “I” (“on” position) the appliance will stay off when the power goes
back. You can turn the appliance back on using the power button on the touch display panel or remote control.

The touch display is shown by LED’s on the front bottom right of the appliance. The LED’s will disappear after 10

The remote control has a removable plastic tab to prolong the battery life while shipping. Remove the tab for the
remove control to function.

A. To replace the existing battery, remove the
battery holder.
B. To remove the battery holder, turn remote onto
rear side and press the left side lever towards
the center while pulling the battery holder out
using the slot provided.
C. Replace existing battery (type CR 2025) while a
new battery and reinstall the battery holder into
the remote by sliding it into position, as shown.
D. The battery holder is connected to the remote
when you hear a “CLICK”.

Napoleon warrants its products against manufacturing defects to the original purchaser only. Registering your warranty is
not necessary. Simply provide your proof of purchase along with the model and serial number to make a warranty claim.
Provided that the purchase was made through an authorized Napoleon dealer, your appliance is subject to the following
conditions and limitations:
Warranty coverage begins on the date of original installation.
This factory warranty is non-transferable and may not be extended whatsoever by any of our representatives.
Installation must be done in accordance with the installation instructions included with the product and all local and national
building and fi re codes.
This limited warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, accident, alterations, abuse, or
neglect and parts installed from other manufacturers will nullify this warranty.
This limited warranty further does not cover any scratches, dents, corrosion, or discolouring caused by excessive heat,
abrasive and chemical cleaners, nor chipping on porcelain enamel parts, mechanical breakage of PHAZER™ logs.
In the fi rst year only, this warranty extends to the repair or replacement of warranted parts which are defective in material
or workmanship, provided that the product has been operated in accordance with the operation instructions and under
normal conditions.
Napoleon will not be responsible for installation, labour, or any other expenses related to the reinstallation of a warranted
part, and such expenses are not covered by this warranty. Notwithstanding any provisions contained in the Limited
Warranty, Napoleon responsibility under this warranty is defi ned as above, and it shall not in any event extend to any
incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.
This warranty defi nes the obligations and liability of Napoleon with respect to the Napoleon electric appliance and any
other warranties expressed or implied with respect to this product; its components or accessories are excluded.
Napoleon neither assumes, nor authorizes any third party to assume, on its behalf, any other liabilities with respect to the
sale of this product.
Any damages to appliance, brass trim or other component due to water, weather damage, long periods of dampness,
condensation, damaging chemicals, or cleaners will not be the responsibility of Napoleon.
Napoleon reserves the right to have its representative inspect any product or part thereof prior to honouring any warranty
claim.
All parts replaced under the Limited Warranty Policy are subject to a single claim.
All parts replaced under the warranty will be covered for a period of 90 days from the date of their installation.
The manufacturer may require that defective parts or products be returned or that digital pictures be provided to support
the claim. Returned products are to be shipped prepaid to the manufacturer for investigation. If a product is found to be
defective, the manufacturer will repair or replace such defect.
Before shipping your appliance or defective components, your dealer must obtain an authorization number. Any
merchandise shipped without authorization will be refused and returned to sender.
Shipping costs are not covered under this warranty.
Additional service fees may apply if you are seeking warranty service from a dealer.
Napoleon electric appliances are manufactured under the strict Standard of the world recognized

Napoleon products are designed with superior components and materials and assembled by trained craftsmen who take
great pride in their work. Once assembled, the complete appliance is thoroughly inspected by a qualifi ed and authorized

Electrical components and wearable parts are covered and Napoleon will provide replacement parts free of charge during
the fi rst year of limited warranty. This covers: fan/heaters, motors, switches, nylon bearing components, remote controls,
and LED lights.*
Light bulbs and fuses are NOT covered by the warranty.
Any labour related to warranty repair is not covered.

Retirez soigneusement l’appareil de la boîte et retirez les supports. Avant d’installer l’appareil, retirez tous les
matériaux d’emballage et vérifiez que l’appareil fonctionne correctement en branchant le cordon d’alimentation
dans une prise de terre minimale de 120V, 15 ampères, mise à la terre.

Cet appareil doit être branché sur un circuit de 120 volts. Son cordon d’alimentation est équipé d’une fiche
comme illustré en (A) ci-contre. Un adaptateur, tel qu’illustré en (C), est disponible pour brancher des fiches à trois
branches avec mise à la terre dans des prises à deux fentes, tel qu’illustré en (B).
La patte verte de mise à la terre de l’adaptateur doit être branchée dans une prise de courant mise à la terre de
façon permanente telle qu’un boîtier de prises de courant mis à la terre. L’adaptateur ne doit pas être utilisé si une
prise de courant mise à la terre à trois fentes est disponible.
Pour débrancher l’appareil, mettez les boutons de contrôle à « OFF » puis retirez la fiche de la prise du courant.

En raison de trops de matériels finis différentes utilisés sur les murs, il est
extrêmement recommandé que vous consultez votre constructeur local
avant que vous installez cet appareil sur le mur.
A. Choisissez un endroit non sujet à l’humidité et situé an moins de 3 pieds (1m) des articles combustibles
tels que les rideaux, meubles, literie, papier, etc.
B. Retirez le support de montage mural de l’appareil en dévissant les 2 vis servant à fixer le support de
montage mural à l’appareil (Fig. 3-1).
C. Demandez à deux personnes de tenir l’appareil contre le mur pour déterminez l’emplacement final.
D. Marquez l’emplacement, puis montez le support de montage sur le mur à l’aide des vis (fournies) (Fig.
3-2). Les crochets de ce support DOIT face vers le haut et le support doit être niveau.
E. Avec le support de montage installé, demandez à deux personnes de soulevez l’appareil et alignez les
fentes à l’arrière de l’appareil avec les crochets sur le support de montage.
F. Fixez l’appareil au mur à l’aide de 2 vis précédemment retirées en étape B.
3.2 installation d’appareil
3.2.1 installation de montage mural
Il est fortement recommandé que le support de montage est vissé dans les poteaux mural si possible. Si les
poteaux mural ne peuvent pas être utilisés, assurez-vous d’utiliser les ancrages plastique d’apposer le support
au mur et que le support est sécurisé correctement.
Le support de montage mural est fixé à l’arrière de l’appareil.

A. Placez l’appareil sur une surface propre et doux.
B. Retirez les 4 vis du bas de l’appareil (Fig. 3-3). Ne jetez pas les vis.
C. À l’aide des mêmes vis, alignez la pièce de stand centrale avec les trous inférieures et la-fixez à l’appareil
(Fig. 3-4).
D. Préparez le base en verre trempé et assurez-vous que les pieds en caoutchouc du base face à l’extérieur
de l’appareil (Fig. 3-5).
E. À l’aide des 5 vis fournies (C X 5), fixez le base en verre trempé à la pièce de stand centrale.
F. Vérifiez si le stand en verre est correctement fixé. Assurez-vous que l’appareil est droit et immobile (Fig.
3-6).

4.1 enlèvement de verre avant
A. Placez une main sur le verre avant et retirez les 2 vis du haut de l’appareil (Fig. 4-1).
B. Soigneusement soulevez le verre de l’appareil (Fig. 4-2).

4.2 installation de média en cristal / caillou
A. Nettoyez le média en cristal avec un porte-savon doux, puis égouttez,
rince, et le-séchez avant de le-placez dans le plateau à média.
B. S’il y a lieu, retirez l’ensemble de bûche (voir la section « installation /
enlèvement d’ensemble de bûche »).
C. Placez le média sur l’avant de l’ouverture de l’appareil.
D. Soigneusement placez les cristaux ou cailloux dans le plateau inférieur sur
l’avant de l’appareil comme illustré. Appliquez une couche uniforme d’un
côté à l’autre.

• La raccordement par câble doit être complété avant la finition afin d’éviter toute reconstruction.
• Les entreées d’air et les sorties d’air de l’appareil ne doivent jamais être couvertes.

• La vitre peut être chaude. Ne touchez pas la vitre jusqu’à ce qu’elle ait refroidi.
• Si équipé avec les loquets de porte qui font partie d’un dispositif de sécurité, ils doivent être adéquatement
verrouillés. Ne faites pas fonctionner l’appareil lorsque les loquets sont déverrouillés.
• Les matériaux de façade et de fi nition ne doivent pas nuire à la circulation de l’air dans les ouvertures d’air
et les persiennes, ni au fonctionnement des persiennes ou des portes ni l’accès pour l’entretien. Respectez
tous les dégagements aux matériaux combustibles
• Avant d’enlever la porte, éteignez l’appareil et attendez que ce dernier soit froid au toucher. Les portes sont
lourdes et fragiles; manipulez avec soin.

5.0 instructions de fonctionnement
Une fois que l’appareil a été branché dans une prise de courant mise à la terre,
il est prêt de fonctionner.
L’interrupteur d’alimentation est situé au côté gauche de l’appareil.
Le « | » indique l’appareil est allumé et « O » indique l’appareil est éteint. Appuyez l’interrupteir à « | » d’allumer
l’appareil.

Assurez-vous que les disjoncteurs de la maison pour la source d’alimentation sont allumés. Lors une panne
de courant, l’appareil va perdre sa fonction de mémoire et va réinitialiser à la mode d’usine une fois que
l’alimentation revient. Vous pouvez allumez l’appareil en utilisant l’interrupteur d’alimentation sur le panneau
d’affichage tactile ou la télécommande.

La télécommande dispose d’une languette en plastique amovible pour prlonger la durée de vie de la pile
pendant d’expédition. Retirez la languette de la télécommande pour fonctionner.
note:
A. Pour remplacer la pile existante, retirez la
sauvegarde de pile.
B. Pour retirer la sauvegarde de pile, tournez la
télécommande sur le côté avant. Faites glissez
la sauvegarde de piles vers l’extérieur.
C. Remplacez la sauvegarde de pile existante avec
une pile nouvelle (type CR 2025). Faites glissez
la sauvegarde de pile dans sa position originale.
D. La sauvegarde de pile est bien fixé à la
télécommande lorsque vous entendez un
« CLIC ».

Cette télécommande doit rester à moins de 5 mètres (17 pieds) de l’appareil pour être efficace. Cette plage
peut être réduite lorsque l’énergie de la pile est épuisée.

Napoléon garantit ses produits contre les défauts de fabrication à l’acheteur d’origine seulement. L’enregistrement de la
garantie n’est pas nécessaire. Fournissez simplement une preuve d’achat ainsi que le modèle et le numéro de série afi n
d’effectuer une réclamation de garantie. L’achat doit avoir été fait par l’entremise d’un détaillant Napoléon autorisé et sous
réserve des conditions et limitations suivantes:
La couverture de la garantie débute à partir de la date d’installation originale.
Cette garantie du fabricant n’est pas transférable et ne peut être prolongée par aucun de nos représentants.
L’installation doit être faite conformément aux instructions d’installation incluses avec le produit et à tous les codes
d’incendie et de construction locaux et nationaux.
Cette garantie limitée ne couvre pas les dommages causés par un mauvais usage, un manque d’entretien, un accident,
des altérations, des abus, ou de la négligence, et l’installation de pièces d’autres fabricants annulera cette garantie.
Cette garantie limitée ne couvre pas non plus les égratignures, les bossellements, la corrosion, ou la décoloration causée

Au cours de la première année seulement, cette garantie s’étend à la réparation ou au remplacement des pièces garanties

Napoléon se réserve le droit de demander à son représentant d’inspecter tout produit ou pièce avant d’honorer toute
réclamation.

Des frais de service supplémentaires peuvent être appliqués si vous cherchez à obtenir des services au titre de la garantie
auprès d’un détaillant.
