5� Route the lap part of the vehicle seat belt through the
SecureGuard clip�
NOTE: The lap part of the vehicle seat belt should rest low on
the child’s upper thighs, routed through the SecureGuard clip
and under the armrests.
6� Remove slack from the vehicle seat belt�
CHECKLIST
• Vehicle seat belt is not twisted�
• Vehicle seat belt is securely positioned and fastened�
• Lap part of the vehicle belt is routed through the SecureGuard clip and under the armrests,
and rests low on child’s upper thighs�
• Shoulder belt lies across the center of the child’s chest and is positioned at or above the
child’s shoulder�
