7 Basic operation
7.1 Switching on the appliance

Use the function selector to set the type of heating.
a Each function has a default temperature or grill set-

Use the temperature selector to select the temperat-
ure or grill setting.
a The appliance starts heating.
Note:The temperature control displays the current
heating status.

7.3 Switching off the appliance

Turn the function selector to the off position.
7.4 Switching on the rapid heating function

Press the
button to heat up the cooking compart-
ment quickly.
Note:Rapid heating is available for 3D hot air, air recir-
culation, the pizza setting and top/bottom heating.
7.5 Automatic switch-off
The appliance has automatic switch-off. The appliance
automatically switches off after 13hours.
8 Rotary spit
8.1 Preparing the rotary spit
1.
Slide a retaining clip onto the rotary spit and screw
on the handle.
2.
Place the roasting joint into the centre of the rotary
spit.
3.
Secure the roasting joint using the retaining clips.
4.
Secure the retaining clips using the knurled screws.
8.2 Inserting the rotary spit
WARNING‒Risk of burns!
The appliance and its parts that can be touched be-
come hot during use.
▶ Caution should be exercised here in order to avoid
touching heating elements.
▶ Young children under 8 years of age must be kept
away from the appliance.

Insert the rotary split frame into the threaded
bushes.
