ACCESSING THE FINDERSCOPE BATTERY
The StarPointer finderscope uses a long-life 3V lithium battery (#CR2032), which is located on the StarPointer’s top surface. If you plan
on not using your telescope for an extended period, we recommend removing the battery for storage. To remove or replace the battery,
follow these instructions:

1. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, loosen the
battery cover screw and flip the cover open.
2. If you are replacing the battery, install the new
one with the (+) terminal facing outward.
3. Place the cover back onto the finderscope
and retighten the screw with the Phillips-
head screwdriver.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type.
The included battery is not rechargeable.
Only use the battery as originally intended to avoid a short circuit. Connecting the conductive material
directly to the battery’s positive and negative sides will cause a short circuit.
• Do not use a damaged battery.
Do not store the battery in an extremely cold or hot environment. Doing so can reduce battery life.
When replacing the battery, refer to the instruction manual and ensure the positive and negative sides are
oriented correctly.
Do not put the battery in fire.
• Dispose of the battery according to local regulations.
