Cleaning
outside
The door handles and trim. (:lean with a cloth
dampened with soapy water. Dry with a sod
cloth.
Keep the outside clema. X_]i)e with a clean
cloth lightly dampened with mild liquid dish
detergent. Dry with a clean, sod cloth.
Do not wipe the reti'igerator with a soiled dish
cloth or wet towel. These may leave a residue
that can erode the paint. Do not use scouring
pads, powdered cleaners, bleach or cleaners
containing bleach because these products can
scratch and weaken the paint finish.
The stainless steel panels and door hmadles
(on some models) should be regularly cleaned
with a commercially awfilable stainless steel
cleaner such as Slainle,ss Steel Mag'ic_ 1_1

Do not use appliance wax or polish on the
stainless steel.
Cleaning
inside
To help prevent odors, leave an open box
of baking soda in the refl'igerator and fl'eezer
COUll) ai'tinents.
Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse
box before cloturing. If this is not practical,
wring excess inoisture ()tit of sponge or cloth
when cleaning around switches, lights or
controls.
Use warnl water and baking soda solution--
about a tablespoon (l 5 ml) of baking soda
to a quart (] liter) of water. This both cleans
and neutralizes odors. Thoroughly rinse
and wipe dry.
Other parts of the refrigerator-including
door gaskets, meat and vegetable drawers,
ice storage bin and all plastic parts-can be
cleaned the same way. ADer cleaning the door
gaskets, apply a thin layer of petrolemn .jelly to
the door gaskets at the hinge side. This helps
kee I) the gaskets from sticking and bending
out of shape.
Avoid clemfing cold glass shelves with hot
water because the extreme temperature
difference may cause them to break. Handle
glass shelves carefully. Rough hmldlh_g of
tempered glass can cause it to shatter.
Do not wash any plastic refrigerator parts in
the dishwasher.
CoTidenser
There is no need fi)r routine condenser
cleanings in normal home operating
environments. However; in environments that
may be particularly dusty or greasy, the
condenser should be cleaned annually
ti)r efficient refrigerator operation.
To clean the condenser:
kWARNING: Thecondenser
fins have sharp edges. Wear a long-sleeved
shirt and gloves to safely dean the condenser.

3 Use a sod bristle brush to loosen dust and
lint on the condenser fins. Use a v_lctltli//
hose to i'ei//ove soil.
4 I,ower the grille panel.
5 P.econnect power at the fllse box or
circuit breaker.
