AC
Alternating Current - electrical current that switches polarity at regular intervals.
DC
Direct Current - electrical current that flows in one direction only.
Amperage
The strength of an electric current, expressed in amperes.
Amplitude
The maximum voltage generated from the zero volts line of the multimeter.
Frequency
The number of signal occurrences per second. Frequency is measured in Hz (hertz).
Duty Cycle
The length of a signals on time. Specified as a percentage (ratio), of the total cycle
time.
Peak to Peak
The difference between maximum and minimum value.
Diode
Diode is an electronic device made of semiconductor materials, with a single
conductivity.
Grid
A network of horizontal and vertical scales displayed on the screen that aids in the
measuring of signal characteristics.
