Important: DO NOT attempt to test power supplies
beyond the voltage rated for this device. DO NOT
operate this product where explosive gases, vapours
or dust may be present.
Important: DO NOT attempt to modify, open or
dismantle this product. DO NOT use this product if it
is damaged in any way.
Operation
Important: Test the product on a known live circuit
before EVERY use to ensure that it is functioning
correctly.
1. Insert the blade into the live (right) aperture of an
outlet or touch the blade against a live circuit. Use
a socket gate (not supplied) where necessary.
2. Place your thumb over the metal contact on the
handle of the device.
3. The internal LED illuminates if a live voltage is
detected. The light will not illuminate if the blade
is inserted into a neutral aperture or the circuit is
not live.
If you are in any doubt over the results of a test,
consult a qualied electrician.
CAUTION! DO NOT use this product as a
screwdriver as it may damage the tester.
At the end of its working life, dispose of
the product responsibly and in line with
local regulations.
DO NOT dispose of this product with
domestic waste; most local authorities
provide appropriate recycling facilities.
