Before First Use:
WARNING:
Read the following instructions carefully and be sure your unit is properly installed,
assembled and cared for. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious bodily injury and/
or property damage. Please retain this information for future reference.
1. Remove the parts from the packaging and lay out on an even surface.
2. Check that all parts are present and that there is no visible sign of damage.
3. Assemble as per the assembly instructions. Place the appliance outdoors.
4. Wash and rinse the grill racks.
5. Heat the appliance for 30 minutes, without food.
NOTICE
When the appliance is used for
the first time there may be a
smell and smoke resulting from
manufacturing residues. This is quite
normal and should subside.
6. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
7. Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

Using Your Appliance:
1. Ensure that the base is clear of ash and remnants and clean before lighting the barbecue.
2. Place up to 0.6Kg of barbecue charcoal, or related suitable solid fuel, into each charcoal pan.
NOTICE
It will be easier to establish burning
with the charcoal initially piled
together.
3. Light the charcoal using a suitable lighter or taper, using lighting liquid, gel or cubes
specifically designed for the purpose.
4. The charcoal will burn for a period with flames, after which spread the charcoal evenly across
the charcoal pan. Use a barbecue tool with a long handle to move hot charcoal in order to
avoid injury.
5. Carefully place the grill racks on to the barbecue.
6. Wait until the charcoal glows red and has a coating of ash (approximately 30 minutes) before
starting to cook food.
7. Place the food on to the grill racks.
8. Once the food is cooked, carefully remove from the barbecue.
9. Allow the appliance to cool down.
FOR YOUR SAFETY:
Wear heat resistant gloves when adjusting
the air vents. Open the vent to increase the
heat and close the vent to reduce the heat.
CAUTION
FOR YOUR SAFETY:
Take care to ensure any liquid/ gel
does not spill onto your hands or
clothes.
CAUTION
NOTICE
When you have finished barbecuing,
use old cinder, sand or a fine water
spray over the coals to extinguish
them. Never pour cold water directly
over the coals to extinguish them,
as this may cause damage to your
barbecue.
Tips for grilling:
1. Your meat will be tender if you marinade it overnight before cooking (the marinade is always
made of oil (to moisten), vinegar (to tenderize) and a mixture of seasonings).
2. Always use tongs or some form of scoop to turn the grilled food (using a fork to turn the food
will dry it out).
3. Only turn meat and fish once during grilling. You do not need to turn it more than once too
much turning will dry food out.
4. Never cook meat for too long.
5. Rub the grill plate with a piece of kitchen paper soaked in oil from time to time.
Cleaning & Care:
• Clean the appliance after each use.

• Allow the fire-pit to cool completely. Ensure that the fuel has completely cooled down before
attempting to remove and empty the ash.
• Wipe the appliance surfaces with a damp cloth.
• Wash the grill racks with warm soapy water.
NOTICE
DO NOT use scourers, steel wool
pads, abrasives or solvents. Never
remove residue using metal objects
/ knives.
Storage:
• Ensure the appliance is cool and clean before storing.
• Close the latch to lock the lid and base together.
• Store it in a dry place.
• For longer-term storage and over the winter cover the barbecue.

outside weather conditions or stored
in damp, moist areas.
