PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION

1 Part or all of Sharp

Microwave Drawer

™

Oven does not

operate.

• Power cord is not completely connected to the

electrical outlet.

• Make sure the power cord is tightly connected

to the outlet.

• Power outage. • Check house lights to be sure. Call your local

electric company for service.

• Fuse/circuit breaker at home doesn’t work. • Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.

• Oven is in Demo Mode. • See page 22.

2 Food in Sharp

Microwave Drawer

™

Oven is not heated.

• No power to the appliance. • See SOLUTION for PROBLEM 1.

• Drawer controls improperly set. • Check if the controls have been properly set.

• Drawer is in Demo Mode. • See page 22.

3 Sharp Microwave

Drawer

™

Oven light

does not work.

• Light bulb is loose or burned out. • Call for service.

4 Touch controls will

not operate.

• Control Lock is on. • See page 22.

5 Display ashes. • Power failure. • Touch the STOP/CLEAR pad and reset the

clock. If the oven was in use, you must reset

the cooking function.

6 Steam from the vent • During microwaving, steam may come from

the left side of the vent (when facing the

microwave).

• This is normal.
