ThrottleControl ChuteHandle
The throttle control islocated on the engine. It regulates
the speed of the engine.
DriveControlBail
Locatedon theunderside ofthe upper handle, the drive
control bail is usedto engage/disengage wheels. Squeeze
thedrive control bail against the upper handletoengage the
wheels; releaseto disengage.
AugerControlBail
The auger control bail is adjacent to the upper handle.
Squeeze this bail against the handle to engage the
augers; release to disengage the augers.
_i_ WARNING: Never make adjustments tothe
discharge chute unless bothauger and ddvecontrol
bailsare disengaged andthe operator is standing
beside theunit.
The direction of snow throwing corresponds to the
direction of the chute opening. Use the chute handle to
turn the chute assembly in the right direction.
ChuteKnob
The distance snow is thrown can be adjusted by raising
the upper chute for greater distance, or lowering itfor
less distance. Loosen the chute knob on the side of the
discharge chute to adjust. Pivot the chute to desired
position, and retighten the chute knob.
SafetyIgnitionSwitch
The ignitionkey is necessary for the engine to start.
Insert key intothe switch to start; do not turn it to start/
stop the unit. Remove key when the unit is not in use.
SkidShoe
The space between the shave plate and the ground can
be adjusted. For close snow removal, place skid shoes
in the low position. Use middle or high position when
area to be cleared is uneven.
