IMPORTANT: Save for the local electrical inspectors use.
To eliminate the rist of burns or fire by reaching over heated surface units, cabinet storage
space located above the surface units should be avoided. If cabinet storage is to be provided
the risk can be reduced by installing range hood that projects horizontally a minimum of 5
inches beyond the bottom of the cabinets.
WARNING
1. A child or adult can tip the range and be seriously injured
2. Install the anti-tip bracket to the structure and/or the range
3. Connect the range to the anti-tip bracket
4. Re-connect the anti-tip bracket if the range is moved
5. See installation instructions for details
6. Failure to do so can result in death or serious burns to children or adults
7. Proper installation - Be sure your appliance is properly installed and grounded by a
qualified technician
8. Never use your appliance for warming or heating the room
9. Do not leave children alone - Children should not be left alone or unattended in areas
where the appliance is in use. They should never be allowed to sit or stand on any part of
the appliance.
10. Where proper apparel - Loose fitting or hanging garments should never be worm while
using the appliance
11. User servicing - Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically
recommended in the manual. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified
technician
12. Storage in or on appliance - Flammable materials should not be stored in an oven or near
surface units
13. Do not use water or grease fires - Smother fire or flame or use dry chemical or foam-type
extinguisher
14. Use only dry potholders - Moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in burns
from steam. Do not let potholder touch hot heating elements. Do not use a towel or bulky
cloth.
15. Use proper pan size - This appliance is equipped with one or more surface units of
dierent sizes. Select utensils having flat bottoms large enough to cover the surface
unit heating element. The use of undersized utensils will expose a portion of the heating
element to direct contact and may result in ignition of clothing. Propose relationship of
utensil to burner will also improve eciency
16. Never leave surface units unattended at high heat settings - Boil over causes smoking
and greasy spill overs that my ignite
17. Make sure reflector pans or drop bowls are in place - Absence of these pans or bowls
during cooking may subject wiring or components underneath to damage
18. Protective liners - Do not use aluminium foil to line surface unit drop bowls or oven
bottoms except as suggested in the manul. Improper installation of these liners may result
in a risk of electric shock or fire.
