Charging
- When the charger is connected (with the power on or off) the headset will turn off.
-
While charging, the LED indicator will show a solid red light and then
change to violet when charged 80% and above.
- When charging is completed, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light.
Low Battery
- A low battery alert will play once every 2 minutes.
- If the battery is not charged, the headset will turn off.
Retractable Earbud Wire
- By pulling the left or right earbuds, the earbud wires can be extended.
- Pressing the Earbud Wire Retraction button winds the earbud wire automatically.
Power On / Power Off
- Slide the Power switch to the ON or OFF position.
Battery Status Alert
- By sliding the VOLUME switch to the - position for 1 second, you can check the
battery status of the HBS-900. There are 3 levels of battery power:

- The HBS-900 battery status indicator will appear on the iPhone screen.
Pairing
- Before using the headset for the rst time, you must pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled
device.
- There are 2 pairing mode methods with the HBS-900.
How to Use

1) Easy Pairing
a) Slide the Power switch to the ON position.
b) If it is your rst time pairing the device it will automatically enter pairing mode.
If it has been paired but no paired device is in range it will enter pairing mode
after 10 seconds.
• The LED indicator will be solid blue.
c) On the device you wish to pair, nd the Bluetooth menu and search for or add
new devices.
d) Select LG HBS900 from the list of devices.
e) If asked for a Pass/Pin Code enter 0000 (4 Zeros).
f) Once the devices are paired, you will hear “Your headset paired.”
• The HBS-900 will automatically turn off if not paired within 3 minutes.
2) Manual Pairing (pairing with another phone or re-pairing)
a) With the power off, press the CALL button and slide the Power switch to the
ON position at the same time for 2 seconds.
b) When the headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show a solid
blue light. After the procedure repeat Easy Pairing steps c though f.
How to Use
Multi-connection
Advanced Multipoint
The HBS-900 is capable of having two devices connected to the headset at the
same time. This will give you the freedom of using call waiting between calls on
both of your connected phones.
Connection
- Pair the headset with one of your Bluetooth-enabled handsets (see the pairing
instructions on page 6).
- Turn off the headset.
- With the power off, press the CALL button and slide the Power switch to the ON
position at the same time for 2 seconds to enter Manual Pairing mode.
- Pair and connect and connect the headset with your other Bluetooth-enabled
handset. (this will be your primary handset).
- Once this handset is paired and connected, go back and connect the originally
paired handset to the headset. This will now be your secondary handset.
* NOTE: When the HBS-900 is connected to two handsets at the same time
(Multipoint), the headset calling functions will work with the primary handset.
* NOTE: In case of failure to connect to the primary phone through Easy Pairing,
HBS-900 will enter pairing mode.

Auto Reconnect
- If the HBS-900 is turned off (either accidentally or intentionally) while connected to
a handset, the headset and handset will disconnect. The headset and handset will
automatically reconnect when the HBS-900 is turned back on while in range.
- The secondary handset will need to be connected manually. Select LG HBS900 from
the list of devices in the Bluetooth menu and pair.
Out of Range
- If the paired devices are separated by a range of 33 feet (10 meters) or more, the
headset and handset will disconnect and the HBS-900 will vibrate to alert you.
* To turn off device vibration, slide the VOLUME switch to the + position and hold for 2
seconds.
- If the headset and handset do not automatically reconnect when they are back within the
required range, briey press the CALL button on the HBS-900 to reconnect manually.
- While in multi-connection and streaming, the inactive paired device will be disconnected
when out of range. The HBS-900 will alert you once with no attempt to reconnect.
Calling Function
- Voice Dialing and Last Number Redial features work with the primary handset (or
handset which made the last outgoing call).
Call Waiting
- While speaking on an active call, press the CALL button for 1 second to switch to an
incoming call.
- To switch between 2 active calls, press the CALL button for 1 second.
- To end both calls briey press the CALL button.
- If both handsets are receiving an incoming call, the headset will default to the primary device.
Calling
Answering a Call
- When there is an incoming call, the headset will ring and vibrate.
- Briey slide the VOLUME switch to the - position to stop the vibration.
* HBS-900 will not vibrate if vibration function is on ‘off’.
- Briey press the CALL button to answer the incoming call.
Transferring a Call
- If you make a call from the handset, the call will (depending on the phone settings)
automatically transfer to the headset. If the call is not automatically transferred, you can
manually transfer the call to or from the headset by pressing the PLAY/PAUSE/STOP
button twice on the HBS-900 (handset and headset must be paired).

Volume Control
- Slide the VOLUME switch to the + or - position to adjust the speaker volume.
- There are 16 levels of speaker volume in Hands-Free mode.
- There are 16 levels of speaker volume in Audio Streaming mode.
- To prevent hearing loss, which is caused by listening to music for long periods
of time, the HBS-900 will emit a long beep tone or two beeps when you use the
upper 6 volume levels.
Voice Dialing
- Briey press the CALL button to activate Voice Command. For best results,
record the voice dialing tag through your headset.
NOTE: If your handset does not support voice dialing, this action may activate
Last Number Redial.
Last Number Redial
- Press and hold the CALL button for 1 second to activate Last Number Redial.
The headset will beep and then call the last number dialed.
Ending a Call
- Briey press the CALL button.
Call Waiting
- Answer a second call without hanging up the rst call by pressing the CALL button
for 1 second. Press the CALL button for 1 second to return to the original call.
- Briey press the CALL button to terminate both calls at once.
Rejecting a Call
- Activate call reject by pressing the CALL button for 2 seconds when the handset
rings.
* These functions may only be used if your handset supports them. For further
information about using these features, please consult your handset’s user
manual.
Mic Mute
- Slide the VOLUME switch to the + position and the FF/REW switch to the REW
position at the same time for 1 second to mute/unmute the Mic during conversation.
* Precaution : For your safety, do not operate microphone mute during driving.

Vibrate Control
- To activate or deactivate the Vibrate function, slide the VOLUME switch to the + position
for 2 seconds. You will hear “Vibrate on” or “Vibrate off” when it is activated or deactivated.
- When the HBS-900 is set to vibrate off, the headset will not vibrate when
receiving an incoming call or when it is out of range.
- By powering the unit off and then powering the unit back on, the vibration
functionality will be activated.

- The HBS-900 features aptX
®
technology that ensures audio content transmitted
via Bluetooth is instant and crystal-clear.
- aptX
®
is automatically enabled as long as the source device supports it.
Equalizer
- While playing music, press the PLAY/PAUSE/STOP button twice to switch
between Bass Boost (default), Normal, and Treble Boost.
- The bass coming from the speakers can vary as a result of the size of the ear gel
that is being used.
Audio Streaming
Play
- Briey press the PLAY/PAUSE/STOP button.
Pause
- While playing music, briey press the PLAY/PAUSE/STOP button.
Stop
- While playing music, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE/STOP button for 1 second.
Next song
- Briey slide the FF/REW switch to the FF position.

Fast Forward

2. Potentially explosive atmosphere
Turn off your electronic device when in any area with a potentially explosive
atmosphere. Although this is uncommon, your electronic device could generate
sparks. Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or re resulting in bodily
injury or even death. Areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere are often, but
not always, clearly marked.
3. Emergency calls
IMPORTANT!
This Bluetooth
®
headset and the electronic device connected to the headset
operate using radio signals, mobile and landline networks as well as user-
programmed functions, which cannot guarantee connection under all conditions.
Therefore you should never rely solely upon any electronic device for essential
communications (e.g. medical emergencies). Remember, in order to make or
receive calls, the headset and the electronic device connected to the headset
must be switched on and in a service area with adequate mobile signal strength.
Emergency calls may not be possible on all mobile phone networks or when
certain network services and/or phone features are in use. Check with your local
service provider.
4. Battery information
A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly. A new battery
or one that has not been used for a long period of time could have reduced
capacity the rst few times it is used. Do not expose the battery to extreme
temperatures, never above +60°C (+140°F) or below -20°C (-4°F). For maximum
battery capacity, use the battery at room temperature. If the battery is used in
low temperatures, the battery capacity will be reduced. The battery can only be
charged in temperatures between +10°C (+50°F) and +45°C (+113°F). For your
safety, do not remove the battery incorporated with the product. If you need to
replace the battery, take it to the nearest authorised LG Electronics service point
or dealer for assistance.

The battery in your Bluetooth

Headset must be disposed of properly and should
never be placed in municipal waste. The LG Electronics service partner who

- The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original purchaser by
the dealer, specifying the date of purchase and serial number, is presented with
the product to be repaired or replaced. LG Electronics reserves the right to refuse
warranty service if this information has been removed or changed after the original

- If LG Electronics repairs or replaces the product, the repaired or replaced

Avoiding hearing damage
Permanent hearing loss may occur if you use your headset at a high volume.
Set the volume to a safe level. Over time you can become accustomed to a
higher volume that may sound normal but can be damaging to your hearing.
If you experience ringing in your ears or mufed speech, stop listening and have
your hearing checked. The louder the volume, the less time is required before
your hearing could be affected.
Hearing experts suggest that to protect your hearing:
• Limit the amount of time you use the headset at high volume.
• Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
• Turn the volume down if you can’t hear people speaking near you.
Using headsets safely
Use of headsets to listen to music while operating a vehicle is not recommended
and is illegal in some areas. Be careful and attentive while driving. Stop using
this device if you nd it disruptive or distracting while operating any type of
vehicle or performing any other activity that requires your full attention.

Carga
- Una vez conectado el cargador, con la unidad encendida o apagada, el auricular se apagará.

1) Emparejamiento fácil
a) Deslice el interruptor hacia la posición ON (Encendido).
b) Si es la primera vez que empareja el dispositivo entrará automáticamente al
modo de emparejamiento. Si se ha emparejado, pero no hay ningún dispositivo
emparejado dentro del rango, ingresará al modo de emparejamiento después de
10 segundos.
• El indicador LED se iluminará de color azul.
c) En el dispositivo que desea emparejar, abra el menú Bluetooth y luego buscar
o agregar dispositivos nuevos.
d) Seleccione LG HBS900 en la lista de dispositivos.
e) Si le pide una contraseña o código pin ingrese 0000 (4 ceros).
f) Una vez que los dispositivos estén asociados, escuchará “Par de auriculares.”
• El auricular HBS-900 se apagará automáticamente si no se empareja dentro
de los 3 minutos.
2) Emparejamiento manual
(emparejamiento con otro teléfono o reemparejamiento)
a) Mientras el dispositivo está apagado, mantenga presionado el botón LLAMAR
y deslice el interruptor hacia la posición ON (Encendido) al mismo tiempo
durante 2 segundos.
b) Cuando el auricular ingrese al modo de emparejamiento, el indicador LED
mostrará una luz azul constante. Después de este procedimiento, repita los
pasos de c a f del emparejamiento fácil.

Conexión avanzada de varios puntos
El auricular del HBS-900 puede tener conectados dos dispositivos al mismo tiempo. Esto le da la
libertad de utilizar la función de llamada en espera entre las llamadas en los dos teléfonos conectados.
Conexión
- Asocie el auricular con uno de sus teléfonos compatibles con Bluetooth (Consulte las
instrucciones de emparejamiento en la página 6).
- Apague el auricular.
- Mientras el dispositivo está apagado, mantenga presionado el botón LLAMAR y deslice el
interruptor hacia la posición ON (Encendido) al mismo tiempo durante 2 segundos para ingresar
al modo de asociación manual.
- Empareje y conecte el auricular con el otro teléfono con Bluetooth habilitado. (Este será ahora
el teléfono principal).
- Una vez que este teléfono esté asociado y conectado, vuelva a conectar el primer teléfono
asociado con el auricular. Este será ahora el teléfono secundario.

Reconexión automática
- Si el HBS-900 está apagado (ya sea de forma accidental o intencional) mientras está conectado al
teléfono, el auricular y el teléfono se desconectarán. El auricular y el teléfono volverán a conectarse
automáticamente cuando el HBS-900 vuelva a encenderse y esté dentro del rango.
- El teléfono secundario tendrá que ser conectado manualmente. Seleccione LG HBS900 en la lista
de dispositivos en el menú Bluetooth.
Fuera del radio de alcance
- Si los dispositivos emparejados se separan por un rango de 10 metros (33 pies) o más, el auricular y el
teléfono se desconectarán y el HBS-900 vibrará para alertarlo.
* Para desactivar la vibración del dispositivo, deslice el interruptor de VOLUMEN a la posición + y
manténgalo ahí durante 2 segundos.
- Si los dispositivos no se conectan automáticamente cuando vuelvan a estar en el radio de alcance
necesario, pulse brevemente el botón LLAMAR del HBS-900 para realizar una reconexión manual.
- En modo de multiconexión y transmisión, el dispositivo emparejado que esté inactivo se
desconectará si sale del rango. El HBS-900 le alertará una vez sin intentos de reconexión.
* NOTA: Cuando el HBS-900 está conectado a dos auriculares al mismo tiempo (varios puntos), las
funciones de llamada del auricular funcionarán con el teléfono principal.
* NOTA: En caso de que no se conecte al teléfono principal mediante Asociación fácil, el HBS-900
pasará al modo de asociación.
Función de llamada
- Las funciones Marcado por voz y Remarcado del último número funcionarán en el teléfono principal
(o el teléfono con el cual se haya realizado la última llamada saliente).
Llamada en espera
- Mientras se encuentra en una llamada activa, presione el botón de llamada durante 1 segundo para
responder una nueva llamada entrante.
- Para alternar entre las 2 llamadas activas, presione el botón de llamada durante 1 segundo.
- Para nalizar ambas llamadas, presione brevemente el botón de llamada.
- Si ambos teléfonos reciben una llamada entrante, el auricular responderá primero la llamada del
teléfono principal.

- Existen 16 niveles de volumen para el altavoz en el modo de manos libres.

- Para prevenir la pérdida de audición, causada por escuchar música por periodos prolongados de
tiempo, el HBS-900 emitirá un pitido largo o dos pitidos cuando use los 6 niveles superiores de
volumen.
Transferir una llamada
- Si realiza una llamada desde el teléfono asociado, (sujeta a la conguración del teléfono) esta se transferirá
automáticamente al auricular. Si la llamada no se transere automáticamente, puede transferirla de forma
manual o desde el auricular si presiona el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSA/DETENER dos veces en el HBS-
900 (el teléfono y el auricular deben estar vinculados).
Marcar por voz
- Presione brevemente el botón LLAMAR para activar el Comando de voz. Si desea obtener mejores
resultados, grabe la etiqueta de marcación por voz mediante el auricular.
NOTA: Si el terminal no admite la marcación por voz, es posible que esta acción active la función de
volver a marcar el último número.
Volver a marcar el último número
- Mantenga presionado el botón de llamada durante 3 segundos a n de activar la función para volver a
llamar al último número marcado. El auricular emitirá un pitido y llamará al último número marcado.
Finalizar una llamada
- Pulse brevemente el botón LLAMAR.
Llamada en espera
- Atienda una segunda llamada sin cortar la llamada en curso pulsando el botón LLAMAR durante un
segundo. Vuelva a presionar el botón LLAMAR durante 1 segundo y volverá a la llamada original.
- Pulse brevemente el botón LLAMAR para nalizar ambas llamadas al mismo tiempo.
Rechazar una llamada
- Para activar la función de rechazo de una llamada, presione el botón LLAMAR durante 2 segundos
mientras esté sonando el teléfono.
* Solo se pueden utilizar estas funciones si el terminal es compatible con ellas. Para obtener más

Silenciar micrófono
- Deslice el interruptor de VOLUMEN a la posición + y el interruptor AVANZAR/RETROCEDER a la

- Para activar o desactivar la función de vibración, deslice el interruptor de VOLUMEN a la

- Cuando la función de vibración esté desactivada en el HBS-900, el auricular no vibrará cuando

- Al apagar la unidad y luego volver a encenderla, se activará la funcionalidad de vibración.

2. Atmósferas potencialmente explosivas

garantiza que este producto no presenta fallos de diseño, materiales ni mano
de obra en el momento en que un consumidor realiza la compra original, y que
no las presentará por un período posterior de un (1) año. En caso de que el
producto requiera servicio técnico de garantía, sírvase devolverlo al distribuidor
que se lo vendió o comuníquese con el centro de contacto de LG Electronics en
su región para obtener más información.
Reducción de la capacidad auditiva
Si usa el auricular con un nivel de volumen alto, podría sufrir hipoacusia
permanente. Establezca el volumen en un nivel inocuo. Con el tiempo, podría
acostumbrase a un volumen de sonido más alto que podría parecer normal,
pero que quizá dañe su capacidad auditiva. Si le zumban los oídos o siente
que los sonidos le llegan medio apagados, no use el dispositivo y consulte a un
otorrinolaringólogo. Conforme sube el volumen, se requiere menos tiempo antes
de que el sentido del oído pueda quedar afectado.
Algunos expertos en audición sugieren que, para proteger el sentido del oído,
se debe:
• Limitar el tiempo de uso del auricular a volumen alto.
• Evitar subir el volumen para contrarrestar excesos de ruido ambiente.
• Bajar el volumen si no oye a la gente que habla cerca de usted.
Uso seguro de los auriculares
No se recomienda utilizar auricular para escuchar música mientras conduce
un vehículo y, en algunas zonas, es ilegal hacerlo. Sea precavido y cauto al
conducir. No utilice el dispositivo si le resulta molesto o lo distrae mientras
maneja cualquier tipo de vehículo o realiza alguna otra actividad que requiera
toda su atención.
