Operating Your Heater
Always choose a safe location for the heater, keeping in mind the safety precautions
outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use. Please follow
the below instructions.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating or fire, do not cover the heater.
WARNING: Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front and 300mm
from the sides of the appliance.
WARNING: Do not use this heater with a programmer, separate timer,
remote-control system or any other device that switches the heater on
automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned
incorrectly.
WARNING:Never leave this heater unattended while in use.
WALL MOUNTED HEATERS ARE ONLY TO BE MOUNTED ON WALLS THAT
COMPLY WITH CURRENT AS/NZS SPECIFICATIONS & BUILDING REGULATIONS
Once the heater is in a safe operating position and all switches are in the off
position, insert the power plug into the mains outlet.
CAUTION: Ensure the power cord is not tight because if pulled it may
partially pull the plug from the socket. A partially inserted plug will overheat
the plug and socket and could result in fire.

Operating Your Heater
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before plugging in and using your new Goldair panel heater, check all surfaces to ensure
the heater is not damaged in any way.
Check that the On/Off switch is set to the Off position before plugging the heater into
the mains supply.
Use the On/Off switch along the side of the heater to turn your heater on.
SETTING THE THERMOSTAT
NOTE: The temperature sensor (E) needs to be pulled out approximately 35mm to
read the ambient temperature.
As the sensor is in the heater and will be affected by the heat coming off the heater
you may need to have a separate temperature gauge in the room further away to
understand what the actual room temperature is.
The heat setting digital display (F) ranges from 1-10 with 10 being the hottest setting.
Your Goldair Panel Heater will provide background warmth.
This Panel Heater is designed to take the chill off the room.
The surface of this Panel Heater can be painted with good quality paint (acrylic or
enamel).
Decorating tip: All wall mounted heaters may cause paint to discolour or wall paper to
lift.
When you first turn the heater on, the digital display will default to number 06. Within a
few seconds it will switch to the number that is closest to the current ambient room
temperature.
The most effective way to set the temperature, is to press the ‘plus’ button until the
digital display reads 10. Within a few seconds the digital display will revert back to the
number that is closest to the current ambient room temperature. But the setting will
have been stored in the memory.
The heater will start to work and the digital display will start to increase from default 06
setting to 10 setting (max). Depending on other influences (open doors, size of room,
house insulation, outside temperature) this could take some time.
The temperature will continue to rise. When you are comfortable with the temperature
in your room, take note of the digital display reading (e.g. 07) and then using the ‘minus’
button, reduce the thermostat to that number. The heater will now cycle on and off to
maintain the number you have set.
Note: If you turn the heater off the temperature will revert to the default (06) and you
may need to follow the process above again when you turn the heater back on.
