Never let the engine run without the air ﬁlter. A dirty air ﬁlter element aﬀects the engine

performance, increases fuel c

and makes it diﬃcult to start. If ce a loss of

engine power.

6.1.1. Remove the air ﬁlter cover by undoing the Allen bolt using the supplied Allen key.

6.1.2. Carefully remove the outer cover, then remove the inner cover.

6.1.3. Once the inner cover has been removed you can remove the foam air ﬁlter element.

If it is damaged replace it. Otherwise wash the element in clean soapy water, rinse in fresh

water and allow to fully air dry before replacing ﬁlter element.

N.B. To reinstate the ﬁlter assembly

reverse the above process.
