Maximizing Battery Life
You can do several things to extend the life of the batteries.
• Reduce the backlight brightness (Adjusting the Backlight, page 6).
• Reduce the backlight timeout (Display Settings, page 25).
• Use battery save mode (Turning On Battery Save Mode, page 26).
• Use expedition mode (Turning On Expedition Mode, page 26).
• Turn off additional satellite systems (Satellite Settings, page 25).
Restarting the Device
If the device stops responding, you may need to restart it. This does not erase any of your data or settings.
1 Remove the batteries.
2 Reinstall the batteries.

My device is in the wrong language
You can change the device language selection if you have accidently selected the wrong language on the
device.
1 Press MENU twice to open the main menu.
