GETTING STARTED
Make sure that your rst cup of coffee is as good as can be by cleaning your
Mr. Coffee® Burr Grinder before its rst use. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Always unplug your Burr Grinder after use and before cleaning.
2. Remove Grind Chamber by pulling it out of the unit.
3. Remove Bean Hopper by twisting it counterclockwise until the arrow
on the Bean Hopper is aligned with the unlock symbol on the unit base.
Then, pull Bean Hopper out of the unit base.
4. Wash the Bean Hopper and Grind Chamber parts with warm soapy water.
5. Dry all pieces thoroughly.
CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive
materials. Unit is not dishwasher safe.
6. Install the Bean Hopper by aligning the arrow on the Bean Hopper with
the unlock symbol on the unit base and then twisting clockwise. The
arrow on the Bean Hopper should now be aligned with the lock symbol
on the unit base.
7. Place Chamber Lid back on Grind Chamber and then install into unit by
pushing to lock into place.
HOW TO USE YOUR BURR GRINDER
1. After all parts have been put into place, ll the Bean Hopper with coffee
beans and replace the lid.
2. Adjust the grind size using the Grind Size Selector on the right side of
the unit. Align the indicator to your desired grind size (Figure 1). Your Mr.
Coffee Burr Grinder offers 18 grind settings from coarse to ne.
NOTE: Grind size settings will change the output volume of grounds. Fine
will produce less grounds and course will product more grounds when the
same volume (cup) setting is used.
3. Set the Cup Size Selector to the desired amount of grounds (Figure 2).
You have the option to select enough grounds to make 2 to 18 cups of
coffee.
4. Press On/Off Button to start the grinding process.
5. The unit will automatically stop when the selected volume has been
reached.
NOTE: You may also stop the grinding process at any time by pressing the
On/Off Button again.
6. Remove the Grind Chamber and use the grounds as needed.
7. Use the cleaning brush, located on the bottom of the Bean Hopper Lid,
to remove dust from the units chamber exit chute located behind the
removable Grind Chamber.

1. The amount of whole coffee beans required is about the same as the
specied quantity of medium ground coffee tablespoons.
2. The unit will work for about 1 minute if you have selected the 12 cups
setting.
3. The unit may be stopped during grinding by:
The user - you may press the On/Off at any time to stop the grinding
operation.
