Operator troubleshooting
Most minor problems can be resolved quickly and easily using the table below.
If problems persist, contact a Hitachi authorized service center for assistance.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTION
The pin nailer won't fi re
nails.
The battery has run out of power. (The
remaining battery indicator lamp does
not light.)
Recharge the battery with the recharger.
The battery has not been attached
correctly.
Remove the battery and check to see if foreign
matter exists in the nailer's battery insertion
bed. Also check to make sure that the battery
terminals are not soiled. Press down on the
battery until it clicks into place.
Nailer is overloaded. Remove whatever caused the overload.
(Jammed nail, dirt or other foreign objects that
have collected around the blade guide and
driver blade)
Battery or main unit is overheated. Allow the battery and main unit to fully cool
down.
Power tool abnormalities. Contact your dealer or the Hitachi Authorized
Service Center.
Nails are not fully driven in. The material is too hard. There are cases in which hard materials
cannot be nailed correctly.
The nailer is recoiling. Press the discharge outlet fi rmly against the
object to be nailed.
The driver blade is worn down. Contact your dealer or the Hitachi Authorized
Service Center.
Blank fi ring. The anti-blank fi ring mechanism is not
working.
Contact your dealer or the Hitachi Authorized
Service Center.
Jammed nails remain around the
discharge outlet.
Remove any jammed nails, dirt or other foreign
objects.
The driver blade is worn down. Contact your dealer or the Hitachi Authorized
Service Center.
Dirt or other foreign objects have
adhered inside the magazine.
Remove the dirt or other foreign objects that
have collected in the nail guide groove.
