CAUTION!
DO not connect to an ungrounded outlet. DO not use with
extension cords or adapters that eliminate the connection to
ground. The isolation transformer is designed for indoor use only.
Install the isolation transformer away from heat emitting
appliances such as radiators or heat registers. Do not install where
excessive moisture or other conductive contaminants are present.
Do not use with life support appliances if a malfunction or failure
could cause failure or significantly alter the performance of the
life-support device. Do not use in the presence of a flammable
anaesthetic mixture with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.
Installation
1. Connect Your Isolation Transformer to Your
AC Power Line
Plug the power cord into a standard, 3-wire grounded, 120V AC,
60 Hz utility outlet. Note: the isolation transformer only meets
UL2601-1 when plugged into a hospital-grade outlet.
2. Connect Equipment to Your Isolation Transformer
Plug the AC power cords of your equipment into your isolation
transformer. Do not use extension cords or adapters that eliminate
the connection to ground. Connect equipment that requires a
external connection to ground to the isolation transformer’s
potential equalization conductor, labeled “ ” on the unit.
3. Turn Your Isolation Transformer On
Flip the lighted switch to provide clean AC power to the isolation
transformer’s receptacles. “ ” is the ON position, “ ” the OFF.
Do not overload your isolation transformer. Excess load on the
isolation transformer will cause one or both of its circuit breakers
to trip; if it does, the outlets will cease to provide power. Reduce
the load on the isolation transformer down to your unit’s Output
Power rating by unplugging excess equipment, then depress the
circuit breaker button(s) to reset the breaker(s) and restore power.
Maintenance
Your isolation transformer requires no routine maintenance.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside your isolation
transformer; do not open it for any reason.

Surge and Noise Suppression
Your isolation transformer is a surge suppressor that protects
against surges on its input line and on its outlets. It also
suppresses disruptive EMI/RFI line noise on the utility power
line.
Hospital Grade Protection (UL2601-1 Listed)
Your isolation transformer is UL2601-1 listed, classified as Class
1, Type B, Continuous Operation, Ordinary Equipment. It can be
used with equipment in patient-care areas. The isolation
transformer is Faraday-shielded and reduces the cumulative
leakage currents of all connected equipment below 300
microamps. As a further safety measure, your isolation
transformer is equipped with a hospital grade plug and receptacles
to reduce the risk of accidental equipment disconnection.
2-Year Limited Warranty
Seller warrants this product, if used in accordance with all
applicable instructions, to be free from original defects in material
and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of initial
purchase. If the product should prove defective in material or
workmanship within that period, Seller will repair or replace the
product, in its sole discretion. To obtain service under this
warranty you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization
(RMA) number from Tripp Lite or an authorized Tripp Lite
service center. Products must be returned to Tripp Lite or an
authorized Tripp Lite service center with transportation charges
prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief description of the
problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser who must
have properly registered the product within 10 days of purchase.

OR TO DAMAGE RESULTING FROM ACCIDENT, MISUSE,

conexión a tierra. NO LO CONECTE a cables de extensión o

de aislamiento está diseñado exclusivamente para su uso en
interiores. Instale el transformador de aislamiento lejos de
dispositivos que emitan calor, como radiadores y rejillas de
calefacción. No lo instale donde haya humedad excesiva, ni
cualquier otro tipo de contaminante conductivo. No lo utilice con
dispositivos de soporte de la vida humana si un fallo o mal

Instalación
1. Conecte el transformador de aislamiento a la línea de CA
Enchufe el cable de corriente a una toma de corriente de 120 V
CA, 60 Hz, de 3 hilos y que esté conectada a tierra. Nota: el
transformador de aislamiento cumple con la norma UL2601-1
únicamente cuando está conectado a un enchufe de grado
hospitalario.
2. Conecte el equipo al transformador de aislamiento
Enchufe los cables de corriente de CA del equipo al
transformador de aislamiento. No use cables de extensión o
adaptadores que eliminen la conexión a tierra. Conecte equipo
que requiera una conexión a tierra externa al conductor de
igualación de potencial del transformador de aislamiento, el cual
aparece identificado en la unidad como “ ”.
3. Encienda el transformador de aislamiento.
Cambie la posición del interruptor iluminado para que los
contactos del transformador de aislamiento reciban una corriente
de CA limpia. “ ” corresponde a ENCENDIDO; “ ”
corresponde a APAGADO.
No sobrecargue el transformador de aislamiento. El exceso de
carga en el transformador de aislamiento accionará uno de los
interruptores automáticos (breaker), o ambos; si esto llegara a
suceder, las salidas interrumpirán el suministro de energía.
Reduzca la carga que esté manejando el transformador de
aislamiento, hasta igualar dicha carga con el valor nominal de la
potencia de salida de la unidad. Para ello, desconecte el exceso de
equipo. Para reiniciar el breaker oprima el botón o los botones
correspondientes y se restablecerá el suministro de corriente.
Mantenimiento
El transformador de aislamiento no requiere ningún
mantenimiento de rutina. No hay partes internas a las que el
usuario pueda dar servicio. No abra el transformador por ningún.

Supresión de sobretensiones y ruido
El transformador de aislamiento es un supresor de sobretensiones
que brinda protección contra sobretensiones en su línea de entrada
y sus salidas. También suprime el ruido de línea EMI/RFI en la
línea de servicio.
Protección de grado hospitalario
(Norma UL2601-1)
El transformador de aislamiento cumple con la norma UL2601-1
y está clasificado como equipo ordinario de operación continua,
Clase 1, Tipo B. Se puede utilizar con equipo en zonas de
atención a pacientes. Está aislado con una jaula de Faraday.
Reduce a menos de 300 microamperios las corrientes de fuga
acumulativas del equipo con el que está conectado. Como medida
adicional de seguridad, el transformador de aislamiento cuenta
con enchufe y contactos de grado hospitalario, lo que reduce el
riesgo de una desconexión accidental del equipo.
