DEFROST
Use this feature to defrost ground meat, steaks, chops and poultry automatically.
Suppose you want to defrost a 2.0 tb steak.

NOTE:
1. If you attempt to enter more or less than the allowed
amount (0.5-3.0 Ib), _ will appear in the dis-
play.
2. Defrost can be programmed with More or Less Time
Adjustment. Touch POWER LEVEL once or twice
before touching START. See page 17.
3. To defrost other foods or foods above or below the
weights allowed in the DEFROST CHART below, use
time and 30% power. See MANUAL DEFROST on
page 12.
DEFROST CHART
1. Ground Meat .5 - 2.0 Ib Remove any thawed pieces after each stage.
/0.3 - 0.9 kg) Let stand, covered. 5 to 10 minutes.
2. Steaks!Chops .5 - 3.0 Ib After each stage of defrost cycle, rearrange and if there are warm
(0.3 - 1.3 kg) or thawed portions, shield with small flat pieces of aluminum foil.
Remove any meat that is nearly defrosted.
Let stand, covered. 10 to 20 minutes.
3. Boneless Poultry .5 - 1.5 Ib Use boneless breast of chicks q or turkey. After each stage, if there

Shielding prevents cooking from occurring before the center of the food is defrosted. Use small smooth
strips of aluminum foil to cover edges and thinner sections of the food.
