POSSIBLE CAUSE
- Oven controls not properly set, See the Broiling sectiom
• Oven door and/or broiler drawer not closed,
• Impioper shelf position being used, See the Broiling section.
• Food is being cooked on a hot pan,
• Cookware is not suited for broiling,
• Mtuninum foil used on the bIoiler pan grid has not been fitted properly
and slit as recommended°
° Oven bottom not securely seated in position,
• Oven temperature is too high to set self-cleaning operatiom
Mtow the range to cool to room temperature and reset the controls,
• Oven Set knob not set to CLEAN.
• Dool latch handle not moved all the way to the right.
• Oven controls not set properly. See the Operating the Self-Cleaning
Oven section,
• Heavily soiled ovens require at least 5 hours and 59 minutes of cleaning time,
• Heavy spillovers should be cleaned up before starting clean cycle.
° The oven must cool below the locking temperature after the clean cycle
is complete. Do not lock door with door latch except when using the
serf-dean feature or the oven may lock.
• Tam the Oven Set knob to OFE
• Improper air/gas ratio in oven. Adjust oven burner air shutter.
• An odor from the insulation around the oven liner is norma! for the first few
times oven is used. This is temporary.
