Lift-UpCooktop
Clean the area under the cooktopoften. Built-up
SOl'i,especla//y grease, may catch on fire.
To make cleaning easier; tile cooktop
may be lifted up and I_rol_ped open.
Be sure all smti_ce units are turned off
before raising tile cooktop.
Remove tile fl'ont smti_ce and dilI) pans.
See tile Surface Units and Dil I) Pans
section. Grasp tile two front smti_ce trait
wells and lift tile cooktop up and pro I) it
open with the prop rod provided.
_Mter cleaning underneath tile cooktop
with hot, soaI/y water and a clean cloth,
hold tile cooktop ui) , return tile prop
rod to its storage position and lower tile
cooktop tmtil it snaps into position.
Be carefifl not to pinch yore" finge_s.
Replace the two fl'ont drip pans and
smti_ce traits. See the Stm'i_ce Units and
Drip Pans section.

OvenHeating Elements
Do not clean tile bake element or tile
broil element. Anv soil will bm'n off when
the elements are heated.
Tile bake element can be lifted gently to
clean tile ()veil I']oor, Do not attelllpt to
clean }liiv ()veil suK]iice when }lily burner
eleinent is on. _dwavs wear protective
hand-wear when cleaning interior oven
stmfi_ces or surli_ces near heating
elements. If spillovers, residue or ash
accumulate around the bake element,

Broiler Panand Grid
_dtei" broiling, remove tile broiler pan
fl'om tile oven. Remove tile grid fl'om tile
pan. Carefiflly pore" out grease fl'om tile
pan into a proper container _._ash and
rinse the broiler pan and grid in hot
water with a soap-filled or plastic
scorning pad.
If fi)od has bm'ned on, sprinkle tile grid
with detergent while hot and cover with
wet paper towels or a dishcloth. Soaking
tile pan will remove burned on foods.
