recommended that the system be flushed thoroughly. Let water run
for 5 minutes before using.
• Will not work on pull-out and hand-held faucets.

A. External Threads
No adapters needed and proceed to Step 6.

use pliers.
6. Attach filter unit to the faucet and turn swivel
collar to tighten onto threads of faucet. Tighten
by hand, do not use pliers.

on bottom of system
and hold for 2 seconds
(until green light flashes).

OPERATION
1.
Turn on cold water.
2.
To receive filtered water, pull out valve stem (see Installation fig. 6).
NOTE: Flush each new filter cartridge for 5 minutes to remove all carbon
fines (the fines are not harmful, but should be flushed out before using the
filtered water). The valve stem will automatically return to the unfiltered
position when the water is turned off. Allow system to flush for 3 seconds
before each use.
WARNING: Do not filter hot water above 100°f (37.7°c).
It will damage the filter.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Initial use - simply reset the filter life button.
1.
Remove center screw.
2.
Remove base plate, flip it over and slide the battery out of the holder.
3. Replace with CR2032 battery, “+” side up.
4. Place base plate back on unit and secure with the screw until tight.
5. Reset timer by following "Timer Reset" Instructions.
TRoubleshooting
ADAPTERS DON’T FIT
1. Use gasket from your faucet’s aerator in addition to the washer
included with adapter.
2. Determine your faucet thread size and consult your hardware
supplier to obtain correct thread adapter.
FILTER CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
1.
When filter life indicator. begins to blink red it is time to replace
your ZRFM-001 filter.
2. Turn face plate counter clockwise until it is removed from the faucet
mount system. Remove and dispose old filter.
3. Place new filter stem into the face plate stem hole. Place new filter
and face plate into the faucet mount system and turn clockwise
until tight. Reset filter life indicator.
NOTE: It is important to flush each new cartridge for 5 minutes to remove
all carbon fines (the fines are not harmful but should be flushed out
before using the filter).
CLEANING
Use damp cloth and mild soap for cleaning. Do not use harsh
Chemicals, detergents, abrasives, solvents, or cleaning fluids as
They can damage the unit.
Timer reset
After new batteries are installed or filter is changed, push and hold the
filter life reset button for approximately 2 seconds until green light flashes.
The light will change to red at 180 days to remind you that it is now time
to change the filter.
Includes a non-rechargeable Lithium
metal battery (CR2032) which has an
estimated life of 1 year from activation.
Battery certified for UN38.3.
