This product is intended for installation by professional installers only! This document is
intended to provide professional installers with basic installation and safety guidelines for this
product in typical fixed-installation systems. Please read this document and all safety warnings
before attempting installation.

This product contains magnetic material. Consult your physician on whether
this might aect your implantable medical device.
• It is the responsibility of the installer to use a support system which has sucient wind
load strength to comply with the applicable codes and standards.
• All Bose products must be installed in accordance with local, state, federal and industry
regulations. It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure installation of the loudspeakers
and mounting system is performed in accordance with all applicable codes, including
local building codes and regulations. Consult the local authority having jurisdiction
before installing this product.
• This product is not intended for installation or use in indoor water facility areas
(including, without limitation, indoor pools, indoor water parks, hot tub rooms, saunas,
steam rooms and indoor skating rinks).
• Unsafe mounting or overhead suspension of any heavy load can result in serious
injury or death, and property damage. It is the installer’s responsibility to evaluate the
reliability of any mounting method used for their application. Only professional installers
with the knowledge of proper hardware and safe mounting techniques should attempt
to install any loudspeaker overhead.
• Do not mount on surfaces that are not sturdy, or that have hazards concealed behind
them, such as electrical wiring or plumbing. If you are not sure about installing the
bracket, contact a qualified professional installer. Ensure the bracket is installed
according to local building codes.
• Use only the hardware and accessories included or specified by Bose for use with
DesignMax DM6SE loudspeakers. Hardware for securing the loudspeaker to the
mounting surface is not supplied. For information on compatible accessories, see the
product’s technical data sheet at PRO.BOSE.COM.
• Keep the product away from fire and heat sources. Do not place naked flame sources,
such as lighted candles, on or near the product.
• Do not make unauthorized alterations to this product.
• The DesignMax DM6SE wall-mounting bracket is only for use with model DM6SE.
• Do not expose loudspeaker or mounting components to any chemical substances
that are not specified by Bose, including but not limited to lubricants, cleaning agents,
contact sprays, or other hydrocarbon-based solvents. Exposure to such substances can
lead to degradation of the plastic material, resulting in cracking and creating a falling
hazard.
• Clean speakers using only a dry cloth. Do not expose loudspeaker to soap, detergent,
mineral oil, alcohol or other cleaning agents or chemicals.

Preparing the Weather-resistant Input Cover
The weather-resistant input cover is designed for three dierent wiring scenarios (see above). To change the configuration of the input
cover to support your wiring scenario, cut along the perforation on the rubber conduit.
Note: Indoor-only applications do not require use of the input cover.

Transformer Tap Setting
Set tap by turning. Use a flat head screwdriver.
Using a Safety Cable
Some regional construction codes require the use of a secondary
method of securing loudspeakers to support structures
to provide additional safety. Choose a mounting position,
method, and hardware consistent with local building codes and
regulations.
A safety cable can be attached to the loudspeaker using the
threaded insert on the back of the enclosure.
The insert is sized for an M8 screw (not included) with a depth of
15 millimeters (0.59 inches).

Installing the Bracket
Note: When choosing an installation location, at least two of the mounting bracket's attachment points must be secured to a support
structure. Attachment points not secured to a support structure must be secured using appropriate hardware for the installation. Choose
fasteners that are consistent with all local building codes and requirements.
Note: Choose appropriate fasteners to support the weight of the loudspeaker (6.40 kg [14.1 lb]).
1. Mark the drill holes.
2. Drill four holes (sized for appropriate fasteners) into the wall.
3. Secure the bracket to the wall with four screws (not included). Note: Use M5 or #10 sized screws.

Wiring the Connector
1. Feed the wires through the center hole of the bracket.
2. Remove the connector from the loudspeaker.
3. For outdoor installations, insert the wires through the
bottom of the input cover. See Preparing the Weather-
resistant Input Cover on page 4.
4. Wire the connector. For wiring information, see Wiring
the Loudspeaker on page 5.

Note: Installation in close proximity to cooking surfaces where the loudspeaker may be directly exposed to cooking oils, such as in
commercial cooking environments, may decrease the performance or functionality of the loudspeaker.

Installing the Loudspeaker
WARNING: Failure to follow the steps below could lead to
an unsafe mounting condition, which could create a falling
hazard.
1. Remove the lock blockers from the lock tabs. Make sure not to
pull the lock blocker tethers out of the loudspeaker.
2. Attach the loudspeaker to the bracket, unlock lock tabs to
adjust the loudspeaker to 45°, and lock the tabs into place.
3. Attach the wired connector to the loudspeaker.
4. For outdoor installations, place the weather-resistant input
cover over the connector and press it firmly against the
loudspeaker to create a tight seal. See Preparing the Weather-
resistant Input Cover on page 4.
5. Unlock the tabs and adjust the loudspeaker to your desired
angle. Make sure to support the weight of the loudspeaker
while you adjust the loudspeaker angle.
Note: The angle of the loudspeaker can be adjusted to 0°, 15°,
30°, or 45°.
6. Lock the tabs into place.
7. Press the lock blockers onto the lock tabs until the blockers
snap securely around the tabs, maintaining the desired
loudspeaker angle.

Installation
Removing the Grille
There are two small openings on either side of the grille (1). Along the side
of the loudspeaker with the bracket slots, insert a small, flat tool into the
grille openings to disengage the release tabs. Pull the grille away from the
loudspeaker.

Adjusting the Logo
You can rotate the Bose logo to align with your loudspeaker
orientation. With one hand, press the button on the back of
the grille. Rotate the logo with the other hand. The logo can be
rotated clockwise or counterclockwise.
Note: Do not pinch the button inward unless you intend to
remove the logo.
Attaching the Grille
Place the grille over the front of the loudspeaker and push it
firmly until it snaps into place.

Preparación de la cubierta de entrada resistente a la intemperie

Instalación del altavoz
ADVERTENCIA: Si no realiza los siguientes pasos, puede
tener como resultado una condición de montaje insegura,

1. Retire los bloqueadores de las lengüetas aseguradoras.
Asegúrese de no sacar el bloqueador del seguro de su

Préparation du capot de protection des entrées résistant aux intempéries
Le capot de protection des entrées résistant aux intempéries est conçu pour trois scénarios de câblage diérents (voir ci-dessus). Pour
modifier la configuration du capot de protection des entrées en fonction de votre scénario de câblage, découpez le long de la perforation
du conduit en caoutchouc.
Remarque: l’usage en intérieur uniquement ne nécessite pas l’utilisation du capot de protection des entrées.

l’installation. Choisissez des fixations conformes à tous les codes applicables et toutes les exigences locales en matière de bâtiment.

AVERTISSEMENT: si vous ne suivez pas les étapes ci-dessous,
vous risquez d’aboutir à un montage non sécurisé susceptible
d’induire un risque de chute.
1. Retirez les bloqueurs de verrouillage des languettes de
verrouillage. Veillez à ne pas retirer les attaches du bloqueur
de verrouillage de l’enceinte.
2. Fixez l’enceinte au support, déverrouillez les languettes de
verrouillage pour incliner l’enceinte à 45°, puis verrouillez les
languettes.
3. Branchez le connecteur câblé à l’enceinte.
4. Pour les installations en extérieur, placez le capot de protection des
entrées résistant aux intempéries sur le connecteur et pressez-le
fermement contre l’enceinte pour assurer une étanchéité parfaite.

5. Déverrouillez les languettes puis inclinez l’enceinte selon l’angle
désiré. Veillez à supporter le poids de l’enceinte pendant que vous
l’inclinez.
Remarque: l’angle de l’enceinte peut être réglé sur 0 °, 15 °, 30 °,
ou 45 °.
6. Verrouillez les languettes.
7. Enfoncez les bloqueurs de verrouillage sur les languettes de
verrouillage jusqu’à ce qu’ils s’enclenchent autour des languettes,
afin de maintenir l’inclinaison souhaitée de l’enceinte.

Die wetterbeständige Abdeckung der Anschlüsse ist für drei verschiedene Anschlussarten geeignet (siehe oben). Um die Abdeckung
andie gewünschte Anschlussart anzupassen, schneiden Sie die Gummiummantelung entlang der entsprechenden Perforation ab.
Hinweis: Bei Verwendung ausschließlich im Innenbereich ist eine Abdeckung der Anschlüsse nicht notwendig.

Stellen Sie die Leistungsabgabe durch Drehen ein. Verwenden Sie dafür
einen Schlitzschraubendreher.
Verwendung eines Sicherungsseils
Einige Bauvorschriften schreiben als Sicherheitsvorkehrung vor,
den Lautsprecher an einer tragenden Konstruktion zusätzlich
abzusichern. Wählen Sie eine Montageposition und-methode
sowie Werkzeuge, die den örtlichen Bauvorschriften
entsprechen.
Ein Sicherungsseil kann mithilfe des Einsatzes auf der
Gehäuserückseite am Lautsprecher angebracht werden.
Die Gewindehülse ist für eine M8-Schraube mit 15mm
Längevorgesehen (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).

Wählen Sie die Ausrichtung des Lautsprechers, die für Ihre
Installation am besten geeignet ist.

Montage der Halterung
Hinweis: Beachten Sie bei der Auswahl eines Montageorts, dass mindestens zwei der Befestigungspunkte der Montagehalterungen
an einer tragenden Konstruktion angebracht sein müssen. Befestigungspunkte, die nicht an einer tragenden Konstruktion angebracht
sind, müssen mit für die Montage geeigneten Befestigungselementen angebracht werden. Verwenden Sie Sicherungselemente, die den
örtlichen Bauvorschriften und Anforderungen entsprechen.
Hinweis: Achten Sie darauf, dass die Sicherungselemente für das Gewicht des Lautsprechers (6,4kg) geeignet sind.
1. Markieren Sie die Position der Bohrlöcher.
2. Bohren Sie vier Löcher (in der Größe passender Sicherungselemente) in die Wand.
3. Befestigen Sie die Halterung mit vier Schrauben (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) an der Wand.
Hinweis: Verwenden Sie M5-Schrauben oder Schrauben der Größe 10.

2. Entfernen Sie den Anschluss vom Lautsprecher.
3. Führen Sie bei Installationen im Freien die Kabel
durch die Unterseite der Abdeckung der Anschlüsse.

Installieren des Lautsprechers
WICHTIGER HINWEIS: Die Nichtbeachtung der unten aufgeführten
Schritte kann zu einer unsicheren Befestigung sowie zum
Herunterfallen des Lautsprechers führen.
1. Entfernen Sie die Feststellvorrichtung von den Arretierungslaschen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie die Befestigungsschnur der
Feststellvorrichtung nicht aus dem Lautsprecher herausziehen.
2. Setzen Sie den Lautsprecher in die Halterung ein und entsperren Sie die
Arretierungslaschen, um den Lautsprecher in einem Winkel von 45° zu
neigen. Arretieren Sie die Arretierungslaschen anschließend wieder.
3. Befestigen Sie den verkabelten Anschlussstecker am Lautsprecher.
4. Wenn Sie den Lautsprecher im Außenbereich anbringen, positionieren
Sie die wetterbeständige Abdeckung der Anschlüsse über den
Anschlüssen und drücken Sie sie fest auf den Lautsprecher, um die
Abdeckung abzudichten. Siehe Vorbereitung der wetterbeständigen
Abdeckung der Anschlüsse auf Seite25.
5. Entsperren Sie die Arretierungslaschen und passen Sie den
Neigungswinkel des Lautsprechers wie gewünscht an. Sichern Sie das
Gewicht des Lautsprechers, während Sie den Winkel des Lautsprechers
anpassen.
Hinweis: Der Neigungswinkel des Lautsprechers kann 0°, 15°, 30° oder
45° betragen.
6. Arretieren Sie die Arretierungslaschen.
7. Drücken Sie die Feststellvorrichtung auf die Arretierungslaschen, bis die
Vorrichtung sicher einrastet, sodass der gewünschte Lautsprecherwinkel
fixiert wird.

Entfernen der Frontabdeckung
An den Seiten der Frontabdeckung befinden sich zwei kleine Önungen
(1). Führen Sie auf der Seite des Lautsprechers, auf der sich auch
die Aussparungen für die Streben befinden, ein kleines, flaches
Werkzeug in die Önungen der Frontabdeckung ein und entriegeln
Sie so die Befestigungslaschen. Nun können Sie die Frontabdeckung
vomLautsprecher entfernen.

Anpassen des Logos
Sie können das Bose Logo an die Ausrichtung des Lautsprechers
anpassen. Drücken Sie mit einer Hand die Vorrichtungan der

Hand das Logo. Das Logo kann im und gegen denUhrzeigersinn
gedreht werden.
Hinweis: Drücken Sie die Vorrichtung nur nach innen, wenn
Siedas Logo entfernen wollen.
Anbringen der Frontabdeckung
Positionieren Sie die Frontabdeckung an der Vorderseite
des Lautsprechers und drücken Sie sie behutsam fest,

Uso di un cavo di sicurezza
Alcune normative edilizie regionali richiedono l’impiego di un secondo
metodo di fissaggio dei diusori alle strutture di supporto, allo scopo
di garantire una maggior sicurezza. Scegliere posizione, metodo e
accessori di fissaggio conformi alle normative edilizie locali.
È possibile collegare un cavo di sicurezza al diusore utilizzando
l’inserto filettato sul retro del cabinet.
L'inserto è dimensionato per una vite M8 (non inclusa) con una
profondità di 15 millimetri.

Installazione della staa
Nota: durante la scelta della posizione di installazione, almeno due punti di aggancio della staa di montaggio devono essere fissati a una struttura
portante. I punti di aggancio non fissati a una struttura portante devono essere fissati utilizzando componenti appropriati per l’installazione.
Scegliere dispositivi di fissaggio conformi a tutti i requisiti e tutte le normative per l’edilizia in vigore a livello locale.
Nota: scegliere dispositivi di fissaggio appropriati per sostenere il peso del diusore (6,40 kg).
1. Contrassegnare la posizione dei fori.
2. Praticare quattro fori (dimensionati per i dispositivi di fissaggio appropriati) nella parete.
3. Fissare la staa alla parete con quattro viti (non in dotazione). Nota: utilizzare viti in formato M5 o 10.

Cablaggio del connettore
1. Far passare i cavi attraverso il foro centrale della staa.
2. Rimuovere il connettore dal diusore.
3. Per le installazioni in esterni, inserire i fili attraverso la parte
inferiore della cover di protezione degli ingressi. Vedere

Installazione del diusore
AVVERTENZA: la mancata osservanza delle seguenti
istruzioni può causare condizioni di fissaggio non sicure,
con conseguenti rischi di caduta.
1. Rimuovere i dispositivi di bloccaggio dalle relative linguette. Non
estrarre gli attacchi del dispositivo di bloccaggio dal diusore.
2. Agganciare il diusore alla staa, sbloccare le linguette di
bloccaggio per regolarne l'inclinazione a 45° e bloccare le
linguette in posizione.
3. Fissare il connettore cablato al diusore.
4. Per le installazioni in esterni, posizionare la cover di protezione
degli ingressi sul connettore e premerla con decisione contro il
diusore per assicurarne la tenuta. Vedere Preparazione della
cover di protezione degli ingressi resistente agli agenti
atmosferici a pagina 32.
5. Sbloccare le linguette e regolare l’inclinazione del diusore.
Il peso del diusore deve essere sostenuto mentre se ne regola
l’inclinazione.
Nota: l'inclinazione del diusore è regolabile a 0°, 15°, 30°
o 45°.
6. Bloccare le linguette in posizione.
7. Premere i dispositivi di bloccaggio sulle linguette fino
a quando non si agganciano saldamente ad esse,
mantenendo il diusore all'inclinazione desiderata.

Rimozione della griglia
Su entrambi i lati della griglia sono presenti due piccole aperture (1). Lungo il lato
del diusore con le fessure per la staa, inserire un piccolo attrezzo piatto nelle
aperture della griglia per sganciare le linguette di rilascio. Separare la griglia dal
diusore.

• Gebruik alleen de hardware en accessoires die zijn meegeleverd of gespecificeerd door
Bose voor gebruik met de DesignMax DM6SE loudspeakers. De hardware voor bevestiging

passen aan uw bedradingsschema, knipt u langs de perforatie op de rubberen geleiding.

De gekozen locatie, montagewijze en gebruikte montagemiddelen
moeten voldoen aan de geldende bouwvoorschriften en
-verordeningen.
Er kan een veiligheidskabel aan de luidspreker worden bevestigd met
behulp van de schroefdraad op de achterkant van de behuizing.
De opening is geschikt voor een M8-schroef (niet meegeleverd) met

Opmerking: Ten minste twee van de bevestigingspunten van de muurbeugel moeten aan een dragende structuur worden bevestigd. Bij

bevestigingsmaterialen die aan de lokale bouwvoorschriften en -vereisten voldoen.

De luidspreker installeren
WAARSCHUWING: Het niet volgen van deze stappen
kan resulteren in een onveilige bevestiging en kan een
risico op vallen veroorzaken.
1. Verwijder de luidsprekervergrendeling van de
vergrendelingslipjes. Zorg dat u de bevestigingspunten
van de luidsprekervergrendeling niet uit de luidspreker trekt.
2. Bevestig de luidspreker aan de beugel, ontgrendel de
vergrendelingslipjes om de luidspreker in te stellen op
45° en vergrendel de lipjes op hun plek.
3. Bevestig de bekabelde connector aan de luidspreker.
4. Plaats voor montage buiten de weerbestendige afdekking over
de connector en druk de afdekking stevig tegen de luidspreker
voor een goede afdichting. Raadpleeg De weerbestendige
afdekking voorbereiden op pagina 39.
5. Ontgrendel de lipjes en stel de gewenste hoek van de
luidspreker in. Zorg dat de luidspreker wordt ondersteund
terwijl u de luidsprekerhoek instelt.
Opmerking: De hoek van de luidspreker kan worden ingesteld
op 0°, 15°, 30° of 45°.
6. Vergrendel de lipjes.
7. Druk de luidsprekervergrendeling op de vergrendelingslipjes
totdat die rond de lipjes vastklikt en zorg er daarbij voor
dat de gewenste luidsprekerhoek wordt aangehouden.

De grille verwijderen
Er zitten twee kleine openingen aan beide zijden van de grille (1). Duw aan de
luidsprekerzijde met de gleuven een klein en plat stuk gereedschap in de grille-
openingen om de grille te ontgrendelen. Trek de grille van de luidspreker.

Montering av høyttaleren
ADVARSEL: Hvis du ikke følger trinnene nedenfor, kan
du få en utrygg montering, som kan føre til at høyttaleren
faller ned.
1. Fjern låsblokkeringen fra låsetappene. Sørg for ikke å dra
låsblokkeringstrådene ut av høyttaleren.
2. Fest høyttaleren til braketten, lås opp tappene for å justere
høyttaleren til 45°, og lås tappene på plass.
3. Fest den tilkoblede kontakten til høyttaleren.
4. For utendørsmontering plasserer du det værbestandige
trekket til inngangen over kontakten og trykker det godt mot
høyttaleren for å skape en tett forsegling. Se Klargjøre det
værbestandige trekket til inngangen på side 46.
5. Lås opp tappene og juster høyttaleren i retningen du
foretrekker. Pass på at du støtter den tunge høyttaleren
mens du justerer høyttalerretningen.
Merk: Retningen til høyttaleren kan justeres til 0°,15°,30°,
eller 45°.
6. Lås tappene på plass.
7. Trykk låsblokkeringen på låsetappene til blokkeringene
klikker sikkert på plass rundt tappene, og oppretthold
ønsket høyttalervinkel.

Fjerne grillen
Det er to små åpninger på hver side av grillen (1). Langs siden av høyttaleren
med brakettsporene setter du inn et lite, flatt redskap igrillåpningene for å
koble fra utløsningstappene. Dra grillen bort frahøyttaleren.

Uwaga! W miejscu montażu co najmniej dwa punkty mocowania wspornika montażowego muszą być przymocowane do konstrukcji
nośnej. Punkty mocowania, które nie są przymocowane do konstrukcji nośnej, muszą zostać zabezpieczone przy użyciu odpowiednich
śrub i nakrętek do montażu. Wybrane mocowania muszą być zgodne ze wszystkimi lokalnymi przepisami budowlanymi.

OSTRZEŻENIE! Nieprzestrzeganie poniższych instrukcji
może skutkować nieprawidłowym zamontowaniem
głośnika i jego spadnięciem.
1. Wyjąć widełki blokujące zpłytek blokujących. Uważać,
by nie wyciągnąć linek widełek blokujących z głośnika.
2. Przymocować głośnik do wspornika. Odblokować płytki, aby
ustawić głośnik pod kątem 45°. Ponownie zablokować płytki.
3. Podłączyć złącze przewodowe do głośnika.

chroniącą przed działaniem warunków atmosferycznych
nad złączem idocisnąć ją do głośnika, by powstało szczelne

5. Odblokować płytki iustawić głośnik pod żądanym kątem.

0°, 15°, 30° lub 45°.
6. Zablokować płytki.

请选择符合当地所有建筑法规和要求的紧固件。
注意：请选择合适的紧固件以支撑扬声器的重量（6.40 千克 [14.1 磅]）。
1. 做好钻孔记号。
2. 在墙壁上钻四个孔（大小适合相应的紧固件）。

安装扬声器
警告：不遵循以下步骤可能会导致不安全的安装环境，
有扬声器跌落的危险。
1. 从锁扣移除锁夹。确保不要将锁夹系绳拉出扬声器。
2. 将扬声器连接到支架，解锁锁扣，调整扬声器至 45°，
并将锁扣锁定到位。
3. 将已经接好线的接线端子连接到扬声器。
4. 对于室外安装，将防风雨渗入的防护罩放置于接口上，
并将其牢牢压在扬声器上，以形成紧密密封。
请参阅第 60 页的准备防风雨渗入的防护罩。
5. 解锁扣并将扬声器调整到所需角度。调整扬声器角度时，请确保支撑住

安裝揚聲器
警告：若未確實依下列步驟安裝，即可能導致安裝狀態不安全，
造成墜落風險。
1. 從鎖定片取下鎖定阻擋器。請小心勿將鎖定阻擋器繫繩從揚聲器拉出。
2. 將揚聲器安裝至支架，解開鎖定片以將揚聲器調整至 45°，並將鎖定片
鎖至定位。
3. 將接好線的連接器安裝至揚聲器。
4. 若在戶外安裝，請將防風雨輸入端子外蓋覆蓋於輸入端子，
並牢牢壓於揚聲器以形成密封。請參閱第 67 頁的「防風雨輸入端子外
蓋安裝前處理」。
5. 解開鎖定片，並將揚聲器調整至所需角度。當您在調整揚聲器角度時，
請確實支撐住揚聲器的重量。

注: 取り付け位置を決める際、取り付けブラケットの取り付けポイント（2箇所以上）を、支持構造に固定する必要があります。取り付けポイントが支持構造にしっ
かり固定されない場合、取り付ける際に適切な補強器具を使用して固定してください。各地域の建築基準と要件すべてに適合する留め具を選択してください。
注: スピーカーの重量（6.40 kg）を支えるのに適した留め具を選択してください。
1. 穴を空ける位置に印を付けます。
2. 壁に穴を4つ（使用する留め具の大きさ）開けます。
3. ネジを4つ（付属していません）使い、ブラケットを壁に固定します。
注: M5または#10サイズのネジを使います。
コネクターを配線する
1. ケーブルは、ブラケットの中央の穴を通します。
2. スピーカーからコネクターを外します。
3. 屋外での設置には、入力カバーの下からケーブルを挿入してく

スピーカーを取り付ける
警告: 下記の手順に従わない場合、設置が不安定になり、落下事故
の原因となる可能性があります。
1. ロックブロッカーをロックタブから取り外します。ロックブロッカーの留め
具をスピーカーから引き抜かないように注意してください。
2. ブラケットにスピーカーを取り付け、タブのロックを外してスピーカーの角
度が45°になるように調節し、タブをロック位置に固定します。
3. 配線済みのコネクターをスピーカーに取り付けます。
4. 屋外の設置では、耐候入力カバーをコネクターの上に取り付け、スピーカ
ーに強く押し付けてしっかりと密閉します。「耐候入力カバーを準備する」
（74ページ）を参照してください。
5. タブのロックを解除し、目的の角度になるようにスピーカーを調節します。
スピーカーの角度を調節する際、スピーカーの重量が支えられていること
を確認します。
