Tochangeor replacethe deckbelt onyourtractor,
proceedas follows:
1. Removethe beltkeeperrod(s)from aroundthe
enginepulley.
Removethe cuttingdeckas instructedearlierinthis
section.
Removethe beltguardsby removingthe self-tapping
screwsthatfastenthemto the deck.

Carefullyloosen,butdo not remove,the deck idler
pulleys.
Removethedeck belt fromaroundall pulleys,including
the deckidlerpulleysandthe electricPTOclutch(units
withelectricPTO).
Routethe newbelt as shownin Figure26, 27,and28
andretightenthe deckidlerpulleys.
Reinstallthe beltguardsremovedearlierand remount
the deckto thetractor.
Routethe beltaroundtheenginepulleyand reinstall
the beltkeeperrod(s).
