PROBLEMS
Problem Cause Solution
The iron is plugged in, but the
soleplate of the iron remains
cold.
No mains supply. Check that the mains plug
is properly inserted or try
plugging the iron into a
different socket.
The automatic electronic auto
off is active.
Move your iron.
None or too little steam is
being emitted.
The iron is not ready to use.
Wait until the mode you have
selected stops blinking.
NB: on "Nylon" mode, the
steam output is low to
preserve your clothes.
Not enough water in the
water tank.
Fill the water tank.
Anti-Drip is active
Wait for the soleplate to reach
the correct temperature.
The trigger is not pressed.
Press the trigger to get steam
output.
The steam is blocked on
NYLON mode in order to
protect your clothes
Select a higher mode if
needed
IMPORTANT: this program will last 4 to 6 minutes.
TO START THE CALC CLEAN PROGRAM:
1. Unplug the iron (
fig 1)
2. Fill in the water tank
fig 2 & 3
3. Plug the iron (fig 4)
4. Put the iron over a sink or a basin
5. Press simultaneously the Mode button & the trigger for 20 secondes to start the Calc Clean
Program. (
fig 11b)
The iron will start to heat up without producing steam. When arrived at the maximum
temperature, the water will start to run down
fig 11c. During the process, the fabrics on the LED
screen will blink alternatively. Once the process finished, the iron will automatically shut off.
Allow the appliance to cool down and then wipe the iron down with a damp cloth or a sponge.
Problem Cause Solution
Brown streaks come through
the holes in the soleplate and
stain the fabric.
Residues in the steam
chamber or on the soleplate.
Use the Calc Clean Program
then clean your iron.
Use of chemical
descaling agents,
perfumed or scented
additives.
Do not add any descaling
agents, perfumed, or
scented additives to the
water in the water tank.
Use the Calc Clean Program
and clean your iron if you
have used the above.
Fabric fibres have
accumulated in the holes of
the soleplate and are burning.
Clean the soleplate with a
non-metallic sponge.
Your linen is not rinsed
sufficiently or you have
ironed a new garment before
washing it.
Ensure linen is rinsed
thoroughly.
Use of starch. Always spray starch onto the
reverse side of the fabric to
be ironed and clean your iron
soleplate afterwards.
Pure distilled /demineralised
or softened water is being
used.
Only use untreated tap water
or mix half tap water with
half distilled/demineralised
water.
Use the Calc Clean Program
and clean your iron.
Iron is leaking.
Overuse of shot of steam
trigger.
Allow more time between
each shot.
Use of the shot of steam
trigger on NYLON, SILK or
WOOL modes.
Use only the steam boost on
COTTON and LINEN modes.
