Output Level Adjustment
Outputleveladjustmentis a keypartof theconfigura-
tion processforanysurroundsoundproduct.It is par-
ticularlyimportantfora DolbyDigitalreceiversuchas
theAVR125, ascorrectoutputlevelswillensurethat
you hearsoundtracksintheirproperplacewiththe
properdirectionalityandintensity.
IMPORTANTNOTE:Listenersareoftenconfused
abouttheoperationof the surroundchannels.While
someassumethatsoundshouldalwaysbecoming
from eachspeaker,mostof the timetherewill be little
orno soundinthesurroundchannels.Thisis because
theyareonlyusedwhena moviedirectoror sound
mixerspecificallyplacessoundthereto create

cableboxes,VCRs,satellitereceiversandotherhome
theaterequipment.Oncethe AVR125's remoteis
programmedwiththecodesfortheproductsyouown,
it is possibleto eliminatemostotherremotesand
replacethemwiththe convenienceof a single,univer-
salremotecontrol.
Asshippedfromthefactory,the remoteisfullypro-
gmmmedfor allAVR125 functions,aswellasthoseof
mostHarmanKardonCDchangers,DVDplayers,CD
recorders,CDplayersandcassettedecks.Inaddition,
byfollowingoneofthe methodsbelow,you maypro-
gramthe remoteto operatea widerangeof devices
fromothermanufacturers.
Direct Code Entry
Thismethodisthe easiestwayto programyour
remoteto workwithdifferentproducts.
