CARING FOR THE FILTERS
The greasefiltersshould beremovedand cleanedoften, at least once a month.
NOTE: Ifyour microwave hood combination is installedto recirculateair, the charcoalfilter
(Part No.5230W1A003A)is availablefrom Sears bycalling 1-800-4-MY-HOME'_.
The charcoalfilter cannot be cleaned and should be replacedevery 6 to 12months.
Grease filters (Part No.2B72705B): CHARCOAL FILTER REPLACEMENT
If youroven is vented inside,the charcoal filter should
be replacedevery 6 to 12 months, and more often if
necessary.The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned. To
order a new charcoal filter,see informationin NOTE
above.
1.Disconnect power or unplug microwave oven.
2. Remove the twoventgrillemounting screws.
1.Unplug microwave ovenor disconnect power.
2. To remove grease filters,slideeach filter tothe
side.Pull filtersdownward and push to the other
side.Thefilter will drop out.
3. Soak grease filtersin hot water and a mild
detergent.Scrub and swishto remove embedded
dirt and grease. Rinsewell and shake to dry. Do
not cleanfilterswith ammonia, corrosive cleaning
agents such as lye-based oven cleaners,or place
them in a dishwasher. The filterswill turn black or
could be damaged.

4, To replacegrease filters,slidefilter in the frame slot
on one side ofthe opening. Push filter upward and
push to theother side to lock into place.
3.Tip the grilleforward, then liftout to remove.
4. Removebulb holder
5.Slide a new charcoal filter into place.
The filter should rest atthe angle shown.
6. Slide the bottomof the vent grille intoplace.
Push thetop until itsnaps into place.
Replace the mounting screws.
7. Reconnect power or plug in microwave oven.
