TOASTING TIPS
Do not put buttered bread or pastries with frosting into the toaster,
as this can create a fire hazard.
Never force food into the slots. Food should lower smoothly when
the lever is pressed down or it could get stuck.
Do not overlap foods within the toasting slots. Each slot is designed
to hold 1 piece of standard bread or a single toaster product.
Overlapping can cause foods to burn or toast unevenly.
Load bagels with cut sides facing out when using BAGEL mode.
This way, the cut sides get more heat, ensuring bagels are toasted
to crisp-chewy perfection.
If toasting a single slice, choose one shade lighter than desired.
The toaster is designed to heat the entire toasting chamber for two
slices, so choosing a lighter shade will help prevent overbrowning.
If using fresh or very thick bread, try choosing a darker shade.
Moisture in bread slows down toasting, so a longer toast time is
required to achieve the same shade. For drier or thinner bread,
choose a lighter shade.
Make quick and easy croutons by toasting your desired bread on a
higher setting, then crumbling it over salad or soup.
