GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS
FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
1 . This device contains a factory-installed coin cell battery. It cannot be removed or replaced.
2 . Chemical burn hazard. Keep out of reach of children.
3 . Do not use in extreme hot or cold conditions. Keep between -10° C to 40° C (14 F° to 104° F).
4 . Do not force open the device as the coin cell battery can cause severe internal burns and lead to death in as little as 2hours
if swallowed or otherwise enters the body. If the device is damaged in any way, stop using the device and keep it away from
children. If you think batteries may have been swallowed or entered the body, seek immediate medical attention.
5 . If coin cell battery contents come into contact with the skin, immediately wash area with mild soap and water. If coin cell
battery liquid gets into the eye, rinse water over the open eye for 15 minutes or until irritation ceases. If medical attention is
needed, the battery electrolyte is composed of an organic solvent and lithium salts.
6 . Do not incinerate or dismantle this device.
7 . Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the device. Avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water.
If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
8 . DO NOT dispose of device together with household waste material! Appliance that has reached the end of its life must be
collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
9 . Do not expose device to moisture.
10 . Follow all warnings and instructions for tool and battery pack with which the device will be used.

INTENDED USE
When installed, this DEWALT Connector enables DEWALT cordless power tools with Bluetooth® connectivity. The power tool
can now be located, enabled and disabled via the Tool Connect™ App. Power tool features cannot be customised as they can
on DEWALT Bluetooth® power tools. Enable/Disable does not function with lighting products.
DeWALT Tool Connect™
This DeWALT Connector is capable of connecting with mobile devices that support Bluetooth® Smart (or Bluetooth® 4.0)

DeWALT Tool Connect™ is an application for your smart device (such as a smart phone or tablet) that can connect and control
your DeWALT Connector.

Activating the DeWALT Connector (Fig. A)
IMPORTANT: ACTIVATE AND TEST THE CONNECTOR WITH THE TOOL CONNECT APP BEFORE IT IS ATTACHED TO
THE TOOL. ONCE THE DEWALT CONNECTOR IS INSTALLED IN THE TOOL, IT CANNOT BE REMOVED BY THE USER. Take
the connector and the tool to a DeWALT service center for removal.
Download the
DeWALT Tool Connect™ applicationat:
Install a fully charged 20V Max* battery pack into the DeWALT Connector as you normally would install a battery pack into
the tool. Refer to tool instruction manual.
Follow the instructions in the app to create your Tool Connect™ account.
On the Home screen of the app, select "+ Tool" to begin the process of adding your connector to the app.
To pair your connector with the
DeWALT Tool Connect™ app, at the appropriate screen, press the button

on the front
of the connector until the blue LED begins to blink. The connector can only be connected to one Tool Connect™ account
at atime.
Once the connector has been connected, you can confirm that you would like to register the product.

Installing the DeWALT Connector into Tool (Fig. A)
IMPORTANT: ONCE THE DEWALT CONNECTOR IS INSTALLED IN THE TOOL, IT CANNOT BE REMOVED BY THE USER.
Take the connector and the tool to a DeWALT service center for removal.
IMPORTANT: BEFORE INSTALLING THE DEWALT CONNECTOR INTO YOUR TOOL, RECORD THE TOOL'S SERIAL
NUMBER AND DATE CODE THAT WILL BE PERMANENTLY COVERED UP BY THE CONNECTOR ONCE INSTALLED.

1. Remove the tearoff label from the Connector.
2. Align the
DeWALT Connector with the rails inside the tool's handle.
3. Slide the connector into the handle until it is firmly seated in the tool (you will hear a click) and ensure that it does not
disengage.
4. If you have not already done so, install a 20V Max* battery pack into the
DeWALT Connector as you normally would install
a battery pack into the tool. Refer to tool instuction manual.
Internal Coin Cell
The connector is equipped with an internal coin cell so that it can be located when it is not on a 20V Max* battery. When
the coin cell is fully charged, it can last for 90 days before it needs to be recharged. It will take 10 hours to fully charge a
completely drained coin cell.

plastic materials used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get inside
the connector; never immerse into aliquid.
